Cohen's Lifestyle Can i really loose 154lbs????

Prefix for Cohen's Lifestyle
Sorry to hear about your father's health.

I cannot comment about the diet that you are embalking on - because I have lost my weight through simple exercise and sound nutrition. No payments out to any organisation for diet advice (until I joined Weight Watchers and Slimming World on getting down to 10.5 stone from 21 stone - half my start weight - when I got spooked about maintenance and wanted the free membership which comes with getting to goal!)

I can confirm that you can lose the weight levels that you want to lose. Exercise and sound nutrition is all it takes. You can start today - no need to wait until you can afford some special plan. Join that later when the cash is there if you want.

Good luck for your project.

Hi Jim, Sorry to hear about your dad. I agree with some of the above advice. Start eating more healthily now & then do the program as soon as you can afford it. Have a look at the thread "Preparing for Cohen's" & that will help give you a kick-start. Take care, Cate

There is a great section on nutrition on the forum. As far as I see it all the most important tips for building a sound nutrition for optimum weight loss are in the Summer Shake Up challenge scoresheets thread - since I am setting them as bonuses on the challenge that I am running. Since they got my weight down through more weight than you are trying to lose - and they cost nothing - it has to be worth you starting on today.

Hi Omega,
Thanks for your post! Well-done on your weight loss! That is an amazing loss!! Keep up the good work and thanks for the advice!!!

Hi Cate,
Thanks for your post! My dad is fine now! He is at home and resting! Thankfully his arteries around his heart are fine, it was a blood clot that caused the heart attack!!!
I have been looking at the post you mentioned and i think its a great idea to start my own diet until i can pay for Cohens!!!

Speak soon!
Jim

Hi and welcome BigJim26...just been reading up on your diary and wanted to wish you all the best with your weightloss.

From my own experience all I can say is Cohens is the only diet that I have ever lost with after having kids.
I completed refeed in March 2007 and actually lost a further 3kilos on this.
But silly me fell of the the wagon and regained all the weight back again over a period of 2 years. And since then I have bought and tried a number of diets hoping I could reach the same results...but nothing was successful. So now I am back for round 2!!!!.

Cohens is a strict and unsociable program, but you see the results quickly. So it is a small price to pay.
I remember how happy I became once I saw and felt my clothes getting looser which happen quickly. I think when you have tried every diet under sun to lose and you have followed it to the "T" plus incorportate exercise and don't see any weightloss it makes you feel very despondent with everything in your life.

Anyway I'm back like I said for round 2 and I really hope I can succeed as well as I did the first time around.

And good luck to us all...no matter what dietry plan you follow.

Sam:)

Hey Jim

Hope your Dad is still doing OK - that must have been quite a scare.

Hope you are doing well yourself.

Take care
