Can acne be cured by any herbal treatments?

Hello, I am 25 years old female and facing problems of acne. I have done lots and lots of things to make it cure but always get failure in that. I also tried many allopathic treatments but the major problem remained as it is and side effects also joined it. I want to ask that if acne can be cured by any herbs or any kind of herbal treatments. Please give your suggestions. This acne is really making me irritating and frustrating. My bad looks are the result of this acne. Help me out.

I'm sorry to say that I can't offer you any treatments in regards to herbs, but I must say that a clean diet rich in healthy fats can do wonders for your skin and help fight acne. It was only yesterday that I seemed to always have ONE pimple on my face at all times, but once I started eating right I was pleasently surprised how infrequently I do get them, and if I ever do they're never outrightly noticable.

Another few tips if you haven't tried them already. Wash your face frequently throughout the day. I like to start off by splashing warm water to open up the pores and clean them out, followed by the coldest water possible from the tap to close the pores up. Finish with drying your face with a clean cloth.

Another thing that helped reduce acne is simply to stop touching the face. I used to touch my face very frequently, but once I've stopped a lot of the harmful dirt that my hands and fingers picked up didn't end up on my face.

Also, if you have long hair (as I'm sure you do), make sure its pulled back as much as possible. Sweating really doesn't do any favors for acne, especially for forehead acne.

Just my two cents. Good luck. ;)

Not sure wtf allopathic treatments are but my doctor put me on some pill and gell that had to be prescribed. First one did not do much so he changed the pill to a different type and then that completely got rid of them but about a month after going of them they have come back. He dident even put me on acutane which is the really hardcore **** apparently but the thing that sucks about it is that you cant get much sun otherwise your skin gets cooked.

I did accutane a long time ago. It was too hard on my liver and I only did 3/4 of the treatment.

but that was enough to eliminate 95% of my acne. I went from having several cystic acne spots, to just getting an occasional zit like a 'normal' person.

I went on blue cross/blue shield because it had a co-pay that covered accutane and both the dr. visits and the monthly blood tests.
your doc will give you special lip balm and face lotion. definitely wear SPF 40 at all times even if its just 10 minutes outside.

Photosensitive skin doesn't even begin to describe how easily you'll sunburn on accutane.

I only did accutane after every anti-biotic and topical gel/cream failed to do any good.

There is this one chick at school who is really outgoing and has lots of friends but they all diss on her coz shes has pretty ****ed up acne. Its a joke but she knows its because shes the ugly one of the group and they think she can take it but yeah she has these huge craters in her face and she would actually be pretty cute if she dident have them  Was gonna suggest acutane to her but she would prob get full dissed.

I've had acne in my face and chest a good portion of my life...

Acne is when zits form. Zits form because they are clogged up, inflate and become infected and then produce a white or black head.

You can do many things:

Use a Peroxide Benzoil bar soap (this peroxide is found in ALL acne treatment products, minus all the chemical ****). This cleans your pores and reduces the amount sebum oil your skin produces - two birds one stone. Sebum oil is what makes your pores inflate once they are clogged up and this oil is natural, you want to control it and not completely get rid of it since it keeps your skin moist and healthy.

See a doctor, mine prescribed me a pill called Minocin which fights infection and acne. He told me that before having to consult a dermatologist - he had to try this basic treatment first and it worked wonders for me.

Causes can range from sweat, genetics, skin disease, sun exposure, stress (biggest factor), nutrition, touching the skin on the face too often without washing your hands...and the list goes on...

IMO, some people make it too complicated - it's basic stuff, it can be inconvenient to do all this crap every day, but once you do it and are consistent it goes away.

When working with acne, you can't afford to try something different every week or month - this will make it a lot worse. Your skin is like muscles it needs a while to adapt to what you are doing to it. To see results you need to stay on treatments for a while before seeing any results.

As for the herbal stuff - I've always read that using natural things is always much better.

Hope this helped.

Eric,

not all acne can be cleared up with consistent daily scrubbing.

I did EVERYTHING. Used various products to clean my face. Used targeted topicals like Oxy-10 (and prescription Retin-A).

I changed my diet. I showered 2x daily, washing my face both times. I would try a new cleanser and it would help for a couple days...then back to breakouts.

Nothing helped. And when I went to work at KFC in the kitchen, standing over grease pits and tubs of flour....it didn't get any worse like you'd expect.

It just WAS.

Accutane is definitely a last resort. And I wouldn't rush to a dermatologist until the person has exhausted the over the counter remedies...and even then start simple and 'light duty' and work your way up.

It was a the point where I was getting some facial scarring/pitting due to acne, and the fact I was 17 and not 'growing out of it' that I finally went to the derm. and even then I was 20 before they put me on the acutane.

I understand that malkore.

But the OP should try the basics if he hasn't already - those are what I actually suggested, the rest eludes me, I don't have any experience beyond that.

I also want to emphasize that one shouldn't subject his skin to a million different things, the individual isn't qualified to treat this properly, clearly. He should not "attempt" or "try" to solve this on his own...he should (1) see a doctor and do what he says and (2) see a derm if the doctors advice failed. IMO trying a million different chemicals on your skin will make it worse. Also, I would see more than one derm to get a second opinion...you can't go wrong.

Acne can't just be. There is a reason why it's there - it's finding the damn reason that's damned impossible to find sometimes...it can be anything.

I hate acne, with a passion.

The acne in my face has settled down over the years, but I still have some on my chest.

Drugs, creams and typical acne cures sometimes work in a partial way but the results are temporary and the side effects are nasty. The tiny handful acne sufferers who have learned how to clear their acne from within and without ever using drugs or over the counters are the only people in the world who keep their skin clear permanently. Now you can learn these clear skin secrets from a nutritionist and a former sufferer who knows from real-world experience exactly how it's done with the knowledge through online treatment

If your acne is severe then it is likely that it is genetic and no amount of scrubbing/healthy eating will get rid of it (of course not suggesting that you shouldnt do it).

I would recommend you visit a dermatologist who can determine the best course of action. Accutane is a good solution but very hard on the body with a lot of not so desirable side effects. I was on it for about 18 months but it worked a treat. I certainly do not regret it.

Good luck.

hate it will a passion....

okay, I have had bad acne all of my life...different diets and scrubbing did not help me. I had the most luck using Dove soap for sensitive skin, and then using Biore skin products. Biore has a really good cleanser for blemishes too! Another thing is whenever you sleep watch were your hands are. My cheeks kept breaking out and no matter what I did I could not get it to stop, then one of my friends said that I was probably sleeping on them. From then on I made sure that my hands were under the pillow, and magically my cheeks started clearing up! Some people also get detoxed and that is supposed to help with acne. You can go to a salon or something it takes about 30min once a week, it will make you feel better to; I am a girl though, but guys can go to and it is not a big deal I promise lol. I have done it a few times, it is really neat. My acne has cleared up a lot, but it still bothers me...I am genetically cursed :( Hope you have good luck!
