Cabbage soup diet, please advise me?

Damn it!

I think I will do it!! I have gone thru such a rollercoaster in the past months!

I had a miscarriage in July which lead me to have depression and gained weight. I was 67 kilos and moved up to 71kg :ack2: best weight I have been was 61kg as I am 1,70cm tall

I fell pregnant again and miscarried for the second time. And in the 7 weeks of pregnancy I gained 2 kilos.

This miscarriage is a different kind of miscarriage.. I am dealing with it better! and I have put in mind to lose weight! I have stopped working bec I dont feel motivated to work at this difficult time, I am sure exercising will make things better for me, as I will have better confidence and will feel better to try to have a baby later one (Maybe after 2-3 months)

I did the cabbage soup diet before when I was younger (I am 25 and did it when I was 20) and believe me, I lost 5kg in a week! I felt flat but mom was kindda "stop it!" so I did.

I wana do it again.. maybe for a couple of weeks just to disontixate and lose weight, and then can rely on a standard type of diet much more related to protein bec I am sure carbs make me fat bec I am only eating carbs now and while ago. bread, rice, even fried stuff make me fat, so will stop that.

Do u think its a healthy way to start losing weight? I will start hitting the gym as soon as I heal physically from the msicarriage.

Please someone?

Ihave no idea what that is - but if you meant detoxify... then don't waste your time or potential gassiness on the cabbage soup diet - your body is self cleaning - you don't need an UNHEALTHY FAD DIET to lose weight...

Eat healthily and the weight will come off - take care of your body

Yeah what Mal said, i wouldnt have thought you were overweight at all weighing that much anyway unless you were particularly short.

You don't detoxify from eating cabbage in some water. If you want to "detox" go for chelation therapy. You shouldn't use "detoxing" as a method to convince yourself to go on this "food restriction" diet.

No, carbs don't make anyone fat. An excess of calories makes one fat.

All macros(fat,carbs,protein) can all be stored as lipid tissue. It doesn't matter significantly how you arrange these three macros in your diet. So long as you are at or below your calorie maintenance line you will NOT gain weight(BLM).

A cabbage soup diet is nothing more than a VLCD(very low calorie diet). You loose weight because you are placing your body in a situation where it is burning more calories than it is taking in. There is nothing magical about the soup. It doesn't help you loose weight and it doesn't "detox" the body any more than any other VLCD does.
