Hi Cabana! :D Hope you are having a great weekend and getting "geared up" for monday! :D

I'm Baaack!!!

HA HA,
Had to make sure this thing still works!:D
Well, I'm back!!!! And after debating weather to make a new diary or keep my old one, well---needless to say I kept the old one.

Wow, summer was here and left. Vacation came and went. I made it to the beach. I bought that little black dress. But most important, I REALLY FELT GOOD ABOUT MYSELF.

The weight has stayed off. I am teetering back and forth between 150 & 155. Which isn't bad.(It also isn't in the 140's that I got to take a peak at:D ) But!!!! It is also not the end! I have to gather up the courage and new motivation to accomplish a new goal.

So, today I start Fresh!!!!! I cant wait to get back into reading journals and providing support and receiving as well! I CAN DO IT! I posted some before and after pics as well...hopefully this will help motivation wise! See ya soon! I'll jump in later to post some more. Right now its time for lunch & exercise!.............Cabana:p

Yup Tuesdays here!
I did well yesterday. I managed to keep my calorie intake between 900 & 1000 calories. I also managed to squeeze in 30 minutes of walking on my lunch hour. Boy, am I feeling it today. My body is a little achy from the walk. But I HAD to go! I have to get that soreness out! Besides, It wont phase me in a couple of days,? right?

So I was thinking of five things that I would like to use as motivation, and I came up with these things:
1. To Be a healthier me
2. To set an example for my 9 year old son who is fighting his weight
3. To be proud and feel good about myself (that self control thing...)
4. Get ready for the Holidays!
5. Look great in winter jeans & sweaters!

OK, OK, you know I had to throw something in there about clothing--What a great motivator:D

Today has gone well. I already got my 30 minute walk in for the day.
Now it's time to drop in on diaries! Till next time.........Cabana

Oh yeah, I am not going to weigh-in until I complete one week of being back on the wagon!

Hey Cabana!!!!!!!

Now those are some great motivators! My favorite is
2. To set an example for my 9 year old son who is fighting his weight

Good idea on holding off on your weigh in till you complete 1 full week back on track! Oh the restraint.......... I'm a scale addict and I don't know why! It's usually mean to me and hurts my feelings! That dreaded thing can make or break my day in an instant!

Here's to a great weigh in for you!
;)

howdy.... yea anytime there is a slip in my diet I try not to hit the scale for a week or two. That seems better than killing yourself for the 5 pounds overnight lol.................

Thanks WAB & Hillbillylee! I agree! We'll wait to see if the scale will be my FRIEND or Not so Friendly by Monday!:D

Yesterday I did well. Motivation was high. Here were my foods for the day:
Breakfast:
1 Serving of Weight Control Oatmeal

Lunch:
1 Can of Healthy Choice Chicken N Rice
1 Pack of Nabisco Wheat Thin Crackers

Dinner:
3 Cups Lettuce
1 Small Tomatoe
1 Med Apple
.25 cups of shredded cheese
4 tbls FF French Dressing

Snack:
2 Cups of Watermelon

And I walked 1.5 miles at lunch time and 2.0 After work.....GOOD DAY!:) 3/12 miles for the day! WHOOHOO:D ............Cabana

Way to get back on track! I too am fighting the scale everyday...although I think watching the fluctuations throughout the day is just wild. Last night, I weighed myself wearing jeans, I walked upstairs, changed into pjs, came down, and I was like 6 oz heavier! Sometimes the body is so weird!

Anyway, good luck to you!:D

Tell me about it! I refuse to weigh at any other time in the day besides in the morning right when I jump out of bed! Throughout the rest of the day my weight fluctuates as well.

So anyone have any comments on dieting and using salt? I realized yesterday that so many of the fresh veggies I enjoy eating,---I enjoy eating them with salt. You hear a lot of people commenting on processed foods and sodium content. I dont think I over use the sodium, I'm just thinking now that I'm increasing my fresh veggies, I may be increasing my sodium intake? AND HELP--I hate water! I try to drink as much as I can in a day--but I never say "Today I'm going to drink 64 oz of water"

Yesterday I had a busy day. My worklife kinda took over. I managed to get away for a working lunch, where I ate healthy. And for dinner I ate on the run, but reasonable. Overall, being busy kinda helps with dieting. But I did not get to get any real exersice in---although I was on my feet all day.

So, here are my meals for yesterday:
Breakfast:
1 Serving Weight Control Oatmeal
Lunch:
1 Large Lettuce and Spinich Salad with, 4 Tomatoe Slices,.25 cups shredded cheese, 4 tbls spoons FF French Dressing, 1 tblsp of sunflower seeds, 1 tsp purple onion
1 small beef patty broiled
1 cup honeydew melon
Snack:
1 Medium Apple
Dinner:
1 Medium Chicken Breast
Snack:
2 Wedges of Water Melon

Overall I consumed between 900 and 1000 calories. No hunger pangs either!:D And now I have to start focusing on the labor day weekend! I get some time off.:D (yay!) But I need to focus on the meals that I'm going to eat at home around my family and friends. That always seems to be difficult, because we eat to socialize (u know--cookouts, burgers, hotdogs, potatoe salad--mmmmm) But- I promised myself that I would not screw up these first three weeks. So I'm going to need to be creative and stick to healthy food!

It's time to dive into diaries now and see whats going on in the weightloss world! Goal for today: Get my walk in during my lunch hour!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Cabana:p

I couldnt talk you into doing daily pic updates could I ?? :) ;)

As far as the salt thing goes, I rarely use it other than in my cooking (never salt to taste afterwards)

I rely heavily on carrots, radishes and cukes for my snacks, when I first started out on this diet I salted them all the time, 2 months into it I quit salting and went to fat-free dressing and coated my ruffage for flavor. I feel like I had better water flow after the salt ban but nothing scientific to prove it.

Just my 2¢

Hagd !!

I've got one thing to say...THE SCALE IS EVIL!!! ... :p

Hope today is going well!...Oh yea, Jellybelly told me to tell you to drink your water! :D

Hey Cabana!

Popping by to sneek a peak at the goings on over here in your journal! I too weigh 1st thing in the morning! Once I'm out of bed the scale too is woken up.
How was the walk? Did you get it in during your lunch?
I'll be working on mine this evening. ;)
