Bulk Diet On A Budget

i dont really need a crazy bulking diet. im just looking for a higher calorie diet so i can gain more muscle. im 17 so the things i get go through my parents first. what are some foods that can help me get more calories?

right now the best thing i have thats easy to make is a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with a banana after.

any other ideas?

Brown minute rice and almonds are both roughly $0.10 per serving (for me, anyway, via CostCo) and neither needs to be prepared in any way. Mix the rice with salsa and crunch away, chase with a handful (1 oz or 23 average sized) or two or three or four of almonds. For $1.00 a day you can add 1500 quality calories!
 
how much weight can i expect, fat or muscle doesn't really matter, can i expect to gain if i eat around 250-500 extra calories a day? what is 500 extra calories in terms of weight? like a quarter of a pound?
 
if you eat 500 calories a day surplus you will gain 1lb per week. Assuming you hit the gym hard lifting 3 times a week, you might be lucky enough to have some of that be muscle
