Building Muscle but still Running - Food advice

Hi all,

I want to build up in bulk/size (not massive though) but at the same time be able to go out on regular longish distance runs. I do weights twice a week and run twice a week and want to get advice on what food to eat to maintain a overall muscled body but not over the top...

I understand the need to eat Carbs before a run and weights session but am not clear on when and how much protien to eat?

Any tips would be good,

If you want to not loose weight you simply have to eat at calorie maintence or above. you have got to eat alot. Id simply try it out, step on the scale once every week or so and if the numbers drops, eat more until it doesnt drop.
As for protein, you should have some protein in every meal.
 
It is all trial and error. If it were me, I would consume 1 - 1.5 grms of protein for each pound that I weigh. I would make sure I got the essential fats in. I would make the rest up with good carbs.

Why do you want to run so much? Is it something you want to do as in a race someday? Or is it just a hobby?

Edit to say, I don't think you are going to be building any crazy muscle lifting only 2 times per week anyways.
