Break while bulking.

So I've been lifting for about two months straight. I vary reps per week, for example; the first week I do 3x12, then 4x8 next, and finally 5x5. Then, I add more weight and start over. I just finished my 5x5 and I feel like I'm starting to lose my drive, would it be a good time now to take a week off, since I finished my 3 rep variations? Also, if I' bulking, how would I change what I eat for the week off? Do I try to maintain, do I still eat a little more but less than if I were lifting?
 
If you have been lifting heavy for 8 weeks straight then it will probably do you some good to have a week of to let you body (and your mind) recover. Your muscles will still be growing in this period.

In terms of food intake, I would assume that you would still eat what you were while exercising as the muscles will still be growing and repairing themselves. However, some more knowledgeable people may wish to clarify that.
 
Yeah take a break. but dont be a slack ass while you do it. Keep your diet clean and dont eat too much for the ammount of activity you are doing.
