This is my second day on my diet I have lost 3 pound so far and feel great. I was kind of down because I ate whatever I wanted on the weekend, because I knew I was starting my diet on Monday. I gained 6 pounds and that left me at an all time low ; but this morning when I stepped on the scale I was pleasantly surprised.

Those three pounds has given me the motivation to continue on the diet and to stick to it to the letter three pounds is a lot of weight in just two days yeah yeah yeah for me !!!!!
:D

Hello and welcome to your diary.

Congrats on the 3 lb loss. Do you have any plans to reach your goals??? Do you have any goals you'd like to share??

Yes I do Miss Kallie, My goal is to lose 96 pounds in 5 months I now that's a big goal but its what I will be striving for .I want to get down to 141 pounds and re-discover the person I use to be and learn the person I have become. I plan on doing this by sticking to my diet and keeping myself motivated. Exercising 5 days a week and posting in the weight lost forum everyday;I have notice and a difference since I started posting it helps me to stay on track and motivate me to stay on my diet. When I read that some one lost 10-40 0r even 5 pounds it give me hope and something to strive for. My goal is to let the fat person out so that skinny person can start living . This is going to be a long journey for me ,but imagine how I will feel when I complete that journey and succeed in my goals.

Today I weighed myself I'm down 9 pound since Monday

I started the forum weighing 237 I was going to start my diet on Sunday but instead I decided to start on Monday and ate like a pig on the weekend and gained 6 pounds, this is my progress since Monday.

Diet started Monday.241
Tuesday 237
Wednesday 233
I am on a high protein diet and it helps to burn a lot of fat but a lot of the weight is water weight also , but I am on the right track the road to losing weight and gaining my goal
.....

Well done with the weight loss you are doing great! Don't worry about the 6lbs at the weekend, it was probably partly water retention from bad food choices and it will fall off quickly! Hope you are having a good day and keep up the good work!

favouritecrayon, thanks so much for your words of encouragement and I agree with the water retention, that's why I lost so much in a short time but I am still happy about the weight loss.....Thanks:p [/COLOR]

Hello and welcome to the forum! You will meet a lot of amazing and supportive people. You will also meet people like me and M2M who are very quick to point out when people are asking too much of themselves. Remember, you want to lose weight in a way that it will stay off. This is a huge change that you want to last a lifetime. I worry that you want to lose it too quickly and by doing that you may be setting yourself up for failure. What if one week you only lose 1 pound? That's an accomplishment but you will probably end up beating yourself up because it isn't enough. Think about it. And I don't know what high protein diet you are following but so many have been proven harmful in the long term.

Slow and steady is the best way to ensure that the weight will stay off. The fact that you came here shows that you are serious. We are totally here for you and want you to succeed! And you will! But let's make sure that this is the last time we have to lose weight, OK!!! :)

I do appreciate your concern ,but I am very aware of the benefit of losing weight slowly I worked for a weight lose center before and know all the ends and outs of dieting.
The diet I am using is The quick weight lose diet which you lose up to ten ponds in the first 2 day and between 2-5 pounds a week . The first 2 days jump start fat burning to speed up the weight loss process after that you lose at a little higher rate then the low carbohydrate diet. My diet conses of veggie fruit and grain and protein it just more on the protein side. I am not in anyway trying to encourage anyone else to go on a high protein diet I am just sharing my success. I am aware that weight loss at a fast rate has a high rate of coming back with even more weight gain then before .But my goal is to lose weight through diet and exercise as I stated in my posting I exercise 5 days a week for 1 hour day to speed up the process. I would never do anything unhealthy to harm my body or discuss anything that promote unhealthy weight lose....Please forgive me if that's the impression I have been given .I was just excited about my success and wanted to share....PS thanks for your concern and your advice was well taken.

I hope you didn't take my concern as criticism. I am amazed at your success. You should be really proud of yourself!!! :) I was only worried that you give yourself all the care that you deserve. We are all going to have to be there for each other because this is a long hard journey, and you've gotten off to a running start!! Congratulations!! *hugs*

No not at all, I appreciate your feed back. I just realized I probably didnt explain enough about the high protein diet and it may have lead other to think eating meat and veggies would be all they need to lose weight quickly and that was not my intention , so I am grateful for you concern it help me to see I my be giving the wrong impression about weight loss.

I appreciate every ones opinion and hope you won't stop giving yours because every ones opinions is important to me .I feel this forum is the only place we can go and get the absolute truth form one another and even if it sting a little bit it is better a sting then an hurt that we may never recover from. From those who can't relate to our situation.....So continue to be supportive ...
