bottom abs

hi all

I have a 4 pack LOL and need to get my bottom abs to show more any ideas ?. Should i work my legs more as i do neglect them. does anyone know any good exercises or any ideas for me.

Sorry if this is a repost i did do a search honest

thanks John

Your abs are all one big muscle, you need to lower your bodyfat to get your abs to fully show. If you are having trouble with that, it could be that you just need to get them built up more. In that case, my first reccommendation is squats and deadlifts. You have no idea how much your core works to stabilize during these lifts. Core work is cool too...

Just to put the point across again, your abs are one muscle, you can't realy target the bottom end of a single sheet of muscle.

If you have visable muscle at the top of your stomach but not at the lower part then you probably have too much body fat.

Cheer everyone. My diet is good i think i need do more cardio. Whats best for that. Running or rowing etc. I already do some skipping and light cardio. Thanks again

Look into HIIT, it can be easily searched on this forum. Much more efficient, as it takes less time than a long run, and will give you high EPOC levels. EPOC stands for Excess Post-exercise Oxygen Consumption, and basically means after you complete HIIT, you burn calories at a higher rate for many hours.

Common Sense Approach...

You need lower body fat....for the lower abs to really show.

How do you get lower body fat.

1) diet.
2) aerobics.

losing body fat is like draining a pool

from what I read at least for men, losing body fat is like draining a pool: the shallow end drains first before the deeper end (thus when body fat drops, it starts to reveal the upper two abs, before the lower because on most men, fat accumulation is thicker on the lower abs.--keep at it, it will come off. the closer one get to a lower body fat percentage (body fat reduction) , the harder it gets.

no problem. I dont know what your in depth training is, but everyone responds to training differently, but I would guess, that if your diet is correct (in caloric content AND CLEAN), and you STEPPED UP cardio (and still weight training ---to maintain the muscle--during the fat loss), your on your way. Remember, if after a few weeks you see little or no results......you STILL GOT A RESULT.......NOT THE ONE YOU WANTED-------CHANGE SOMETHING..until you find the thing that works, and you have to be MORE STUBBORN THAT STUBBORN LITTLE BIT in the lower area to get rid of it.........ROCK ON!
