Blood pressure and resting pulse

When I gave blood today, I was very pleasantly surprised by my metrics:

Age: 48
Blood pressure: 112/66
Resting heart rate: 60

very good!

Mines

132 / 66

RHR 47

Im not sure why there is such a difference between my systolic and diastolic pressures but I asked an exercise physiologist and they suggested a high level of left ventricular hypertrophy, A heartrate of 60 and below is called bradiacardia (sp) so well done gr8

Below 60 is actually good if you are an endurance athelete. It's only a problem if there is no explanation for it.

Exactly thats why I said "well done" Its an indication of left ventricular hypertrophy, stroke volume and an improvement in parasympathetic tone. It is good you are quite right. You are also right when you say its only not good when there is no explanation for it. But this is rare.

Oh, I must have read over your response too fast, looks like we agree.

BTW, I get a moderately high systolic pressure with a really low diastolic. My doc believes it is because I'm nervous at the doc's office which raises the systolic. At home it happens less frequently
