Bikkebakke's Weight Loss Blog of Hungriness

:conehead:

Just a quick lil' update: The past few days, I've tried to start running on the treadmill, opposed to walking. The first day I barely made it a quarter mile before becoming short of breath and exhausted. But I'm now up to running a mile just fine. I've also started trying to do pull ups and full body lift kinda deals after reading an article that explained how lifting weights is virtually pointless if you can't do at least 6 pull ups, which I can't.

Also, I finally gave in and decided to try one of the "Full Body Cleanse" programs. Horrible mistake. The first three nights, I didn't feel any different. The fourth night I couldn't sleep due to all the churning, cramping and all around bad feeling going on inside of my GI track. While there hasn't been any diarrhea, luckily, I've been off for two days and my stomach is still feeling upset, though it has receded quite a lot. Also, one of the side effects is horrible, horrid gas, plus a huge lack of energy.

In the end, I'll never try a body cleansing regime again. Anything that makes your body feel that much discomfort is not good for you. Plus it's hard to exercise when you are constantly tired and having stomach cramps.

Ouch... Full Body Cleanse, indeed. I'm sure the people who make the stuff would explain how you were "just getting to the good part" or something like that.

Keep up the running! That is awesome! I wish I could run a quarter of a mile, but being able to run and entire mile... well, that's the stuff that dreams are made of, at this time in my life :D

Keep doing what you're doing, amigo; but don't neglect lifting weights just because of an article, and remember that there are different ways to do those pull ups. Some are easier than others. If you can use your whole body as a part of the process (we called them 'kips') you can use more muscles and it goes easier.

I'm still looking forward to that part, too :D
