BikiniBound's Diary

Ha! So much for all of my efforts yesterday!! I was up 1.5lbs from yesterday, and 2.5lbs from the day before!! :flame::confused: I guess maybe it was the beer and sub at the bar that did me in...lol. Well, so far today I haven't eaten anything bad, but that will change later..lol. I'm carb loading again today, so I'm treating myself to a big bowl of steak alfredo fettucine for dinner..lol. Naughty, naughty..tsk tsk. But tomorrow I will be miss low carb again. We'll see how this metobolic diet works...hmm.

Hey bb! This is the first time in days I've been able to see something on this site. I can't even get into my own diary. I wonder if I have to open a new one. I have no idea what's up with you either. I can't go back any pages!
See you've been drinking, me too. I probably shouldn't talk about it. LOL! Strange night Friday. Too strange.
I hope I can get back in here and make stuff work. We'll see!

Here's a story about a girl who was sitting in front of her TV watching football and thinking that the last thing she felt like doing was getting off her lazy ass and exercising..:D She felt very lethargic and sleepy.:sleeping: But she told herself that she HAD to go and do it. So, reluctantly, she changed and put on her walking shoes. She had said earlier that she would do 4 miles, and had planned on doing some jogging IT. But now she told herself that she just wasn't up to it and would just do regular 15-minute miles with no IT--and she would just do 3 miles--not 4.

So she started walking, and as she was finishing her first 1/2 mile she saw her husband heading her way, returning from his 3 mile jog. So she said, "what the hell," and proceeded to jog past her husband. While doing so, he asked her how far she was going to go. "Oh, 3 or 4 miles," she replied, although she was thinking that she was definitely only going to do 3.

She kept up her jogging intervals, and finished her first mile in just under 15min. By the time she had finished 1.5 miles she decided to just do the 4 miles. She did 2 miles in 28min, and was pretty pleased. She told herself that she would try to break her old record of 57min by one minute--all she had to do was keep up her 14min mile pace. So she pushed herself, and finished her last 2 miles. She was aiming for 56min, but did it in 55.5min! Woo hoo! Beat her old record by 1.5min. Not bad for a girl who one hour earlier was sitting on her ass in front of the TV whining to herself about how she didn't feel like exercising.:)

So take that, skinny bitch authors!! haha

Great story. Not only did you overcome the dreaded "lazy" sickness, but you actually pushed yourself and improved your personal best. Santa approves :santa:

Thanks, Imperial. I thought everyone would be able to relate to the "lazy sickness." I think we've all been there. The difference for me now is that in the past I would cave to it and stay plopped in front of the TV. Now I make myself go out and do it.

Just wish the scale would have rewarded me for my efforts this morning.:(

Exercise for this week:
8/27--40min circuit training
8/28--42.5 min walk--3miles w/jogging IT
8/29--60min walk--4 miles no IT
8/30--40min of circuit training
8/31—30min of circuit training
9/1—4 mile walk with jogging IT in 55.5min (beats old record by 1.5min!)
9/2—30min walk
Total 5hrs exercised 12.75miles walked

Food for Sunday:
Meal#1—banana, bowl of oatmeal
Meal#2—bowl of cereal
Meal#3—2 slices of whole grain toast
Meal#4—steak fettucine alfredo with tomato, mushrooms and spinach, garlic bread
Meal#5—1 peach, 1 apple, bowl of oatmeal
Meal#6—redskin potatoes with butter

Well, nothing seems to be working. I am getting really frustrated. I have mixed up my eating exercise for three weeks, and yet nothing. I have tried increading the length and intensity of my workouts, I've tried doing more cardio and more strength training. I've done low carb, low cal, etc. Nothing works.

So I've decided to ease off the exercise this week. I have to do 30min 6X a week for the HC, so I'm just going to do 30min of moderate walks and circuit training--which is less than what I have been doing. And as far as the eating goes, I'm gonna keep trying this metabolic diet. My carb loading weekend is over, and now I'm back to low-carb eating for the next 5 days. We'll see how that goes. If anyone has any ideas that I haven't already tried, I would love to hear them.:cry:

I loved that story too! You've done some great exercise recently. But how to get off the plateau...?... I have no clue. Have you tried increasing your calories? I've heard that suggested by some people, but I've never tried it because it sounds counter-intuitive. On the other hand it's great that your weight hasn't gone up :) Every time I read your food logs I get sooo hungry  You do eat some yummy stuff.

I know its very hard, but you've got to be patient when you do this cycling stuff. I was reading more about the carb cycling and everyone notes that your weight will definitely increase on the high carb weekends, that's to be expected so dont lose hope. Its during the low carb days that you're supposed to get to a new low, so let's hope this week is the one! Just to help you tweak in the future, you may want to track the calories as big of a pain in the ass that it is (though I do think your cals are low enough so not necessarily the problem, just more info if things dont work). I have always thought it was important to calorie cycle as well. Never want your body to get used to a certain amount of calories. Hope you have a nice day :).

Hey Teammate!

Thanks for dropping by my diary, and congrats on getting off the couch and improving your time! I wanted to say hello and make sure you didn't think I backed out since I've been AWOL for a few days. This has been an insane weekend for me so part of this is a copy/paste to all of our teammates. I was in a car accident Friday evening. It wasn't my fault, and I'm a little sore but fine. My car will need some work, though. I spent most of Saturday getting estimates, grocery shopping and cooking for a group of friends who arrived Saturday evening from the east coast. I went for a long 1-1/2 hour bike ride yesterday morning before everyone got up, and had planned to post here after that, but they were awake when I got back.

You may know I've been having will power 'issues' and then me-bashing 'issues' so I decided on some sneaky meal plans for these visitors. They're in my diary so I won't rewrite here, but I'm very proud of myself !

Looking forward to 'losing' with you in the Halloween Challenge!

Weight this am was 239.5...sigh. But as Blancita said, weight gain after carb loading weekends is natural. So I am up 3.5lbs from my lowest weight. My goal this week is to lose that plus at least another pound.

I was thinking that the last time I lost weight was after a night of hot sex...So I asked my H if he was up to helping me out with that.:D Of course, he was....So maybe I'll be riding my stallion tonight..lmbo:jump:

I think Plan B (the extra "exercise") is an excellent one. Wishing you the best of luck in getting to your *new low* this week. It friggin better, you are working so damn hard!

Well, I got some afternoon riding in, so maybe that will help!:D :jump:

Gonna go for a walk soon--just waiting for it to cool down a bit. 90+degrees here today. :(

Exercise for this week:
9/3--30min 2 mile walk

Food for Monday:
Meal#1—3 eggs, 1 sausage link (2g) (275cal)
Meal#2—side salad (4g) (175cal)
Meal#3—can of tuna with horseradish mustard and a bit of mayo (170cal)
Meal#4—bowl of broccoli and cauliflower (2g), bowl of strawberries (6g) (50cal)
Meal#5—chicken veggie stirfry (broc, cauliflower, zucchini, onion, cilantro, tomato, yellow bell pepper, garlic, thai red curry paste) (5g) (300cal)
Meal#6—low carb protein shake (2g), 2tbsp organic peanut butter (6g) (370cal)
27g total net carbs 1,340 total calories

Hmm...I just figured out my calories and realized that I am kinda low. Well, we'll see how that affects the scale tomorrow. Perhaps I'm not eating enough calories--maybe that's why I'm plateauing. I thought I was eating more than that.

Sorry to those of you who were jealous of my afternoon exploits...lol. But I know you don't blame me...:jump::jump:

Very quiet holiday weekend here. Aside from exercising, I haven't left the house since Saturday when I went to watch the Massacre. Very quiet weekend, indeed. I really need to stop being such a party animal--it's quite ridiculous at my advanced age. Will I never learn to settle down and just stay home for once??...lmbo:rotflmao::rotflmao:

Damn! I've pissed 4 times in the last hour!! I'd better hurry up and finish this before I have to piss again!! You'd think I was fackin' preggers...lmbo Needless to say, I drank my 118oz of water today, plus 2 cups of coffee, plus the protein shake, plus a can of diet pop.:pumpkin: I think I'm gonna float away...:drooling::drooling:

Back to the grindstone tomorrow. Hope everyone has a great week!!:hug2::hug2:
