Don't restrict the size of someones avatar.

Or at least allow us to have atleast a bit bigger avatars..

Do you know what would happen if we didn't restrict the size of someones avatar? If you had 56k or something it would take forever.. It's all for a reason, and even if we did make it bigger it would be like 100x100pixels which is small too so why even bother?

Relax, my friend.

People's circumstances can be different from one person to the next.

For example.

I live just outside of Lawrence in a small town. For several years I used 56K because it wasnt available in my small town, but was just 13 miles away in Lawrence. It wasnt until a few years ago (2002) that they FINALLY upgraded the aging cable system to allow for higher speed internet. Now I can down load (if the server is at comparable speed or better) above 1.5 MEGS per second. And love it.

So edit the picture. If you cant edit pictures in this day and age you dont deserve photos.

it's a gif? you can still make it smaller...I use to make signatures for people on forums and it is possible to manipulate them.....with the right programs.

also gifs still take longer to load, so you would be imposing your slow loading gif on others....

I wish you had asked this a week ago, I could have helped you myself. You have to have the right program (an animation one- like the one I just deleted from my computer a week ago because I don't use it anymore...*sigh*)

It breaks the image down into each cell (you know, like film) and then you can resize it, and even cut cells so the file size is smaller. Made signature for years.....

I'll check around and see what I can find...If you send me the gif, maybe I can get someone to resize it and make it smaller.
