The P90X is tough, you definately want a good exercise routine for a few months before you start it. Couch to P90X would kill ya!

Glad to hear it's a tough workout!!! Maybe they should make one for beginners called Couch to P90X lol... you could receive some royalties cuz you thought up the name!!! ;)

Its going well Mac Daddy! One more week and I can weight train again and whip this softness into shape! lol How YOU doin'? :-D

Hi Shaun! :waving: Betcha you're kicking ass at this weight loss thing, eh? Still doing those crazy-effective workouts? :bigear:

I'm doing well, 5lbs down in the last 2 weeks. I'm not seeing the results I want in the mirror but I know sometimes it can be hardest to see yourself when its obvious to everyone else. One of my friends the other day said, "damn shaun, eat a ham sandwich or somethin ya skinny ass!" haha. She was a friend when I was 80lbs heavier though so I'm sure she's seen a big change. I'm still doin the P90X most days... its a good workout. The nice thing is that it involves everything in 1 training session. Stretching, cardio, resistance.... it's all packed into those discs.

Hello Mac!! Just wanted to stop in and say hello!! Are you enjoying P90x?? Is it everything you see in the infomericals???

You are still kicking ass its amazing!! Keep it up tough guy!!!

Hey MissD! Yeah, I'm still doing the P90X thing. Some days on it are ok, other days are really tough. It's a lot of reps, usually 3 different exercises per muscle group with 2 sets of 8-20 reps. It really keeps you moving and sweating.

That's awesome!! Glad to hear you are enjoying it! I have been searching for a new strength DVD, but I think P90x is a little too hard core for me, I don't think I could do half of the exercises they show...

You can custom build it to your fitness level. Things like, 1/2 pushups from the knees vs full pushups, use resistance bands instead of weight, control your rep number. It's tough, but as long as you go into it with realistic expectations I think you're ok.

Someone shared with me the meaning of the Tarot card for "Strength" and since we're Leos and fire signs of course, you reminded me of it. You WILL see the results, just keep it up!

"The symbology of the lion is common to Strength, and aptly so. The lion is the "beast within", the raging inner desire inside every one of us that must be controlled or it will be set free to manifest in the world. The image of the woman opening the mouth of the lion shows both courage and patience; she must not fear the lion, and she must wait for it to tire before she can exert her own will upon it. There is just the purity of the maiden and the power of her inner beast that she is attempting to control.

She needs patience to defeat the lion because her power is not brute physical force, as mentioned. The force she has is very little, but it can be applied infinitely, and she will continue to apply light but constant pressure until the lion submits to her superior will. It does show a certain determination, and the conviction that even small results will have effects if kept up long enough, just as a constant dripping hollows a stone. So Strength is not a card of compassion and love, but a card of quiet yet unstoppable power. Such power radiates from the soul, and for a consciousness aware of this power, there can be no resistance, and no defeat."

Thanks Curvie, determination is definitely one of my stronger points. I know I'll reach my goals, I just thought after 80lbs I'd be closer to where I want to be.

I heard some where that it's not the first mile that matters, but the last.
It's not the first rep, but the last.
It's not the first pounds lost, but the last.

(or something like that.) The first 80 pounds were important, but only to get you to the point to do the last 40. You'll see it, Shaun.

Good Job Mac. You are a perfect example of what consistency means. I can't believe you are down over 80lbs. That is incredible. Way to go! You have to be feeling so much better..bet you sleep better to.

Hope you are having a great week!
