Biceps twice a week

Hi,

In an effort to bring up my biceps I have switched to a routine where I train biceps twice a week, once after my back exercise and then another day when I do arms only. My question is, how long should I keep up this routine, and if I do this for an extended period of time do I risk overtraining my biceps. A friend recommended that I do it for 6 weeks and then go back to my normal routine. Is this ok, or maybe too long/short?

Thanks for any suggestions.

You didn't give us enough info to determine anything. I'd skip an arms only day and just have a second bicep session with another muscle group.

My current routine is:

Monday - Off
Tuesday - Back/Biceps
Wednesday - Shoulders/calves
Thursday - off
Friday - Chest/Traps
Saturday - Arms/calves
Sunday - Legs (excluding calves)

I also do martial arts twice a week (tues. and thurs.)

Thanks

Calves have their own time?? I would do a calf exercise with your leg workout, put traps with shoulders, and move triceps with chest. That frees up an extra day for something else. What is your goal with this double bicep plan?
