Biathlon

Hi guys, I am a 15 year old male, I am 5' 8" and weigh 146lbs. I have a biathlon in 3 weeks, and I'd like to improve my fitness to hopefully get a decent result. It is a 100m swim and a 1000m run. I'm not too confident about the run, as I am used to longer distance running than that (10k usually), so I'm not sure how to improve my speed rather than my stamina. Do you have any tips to improve my 1000m time such as a workout routine or that sort of thing?

I used to be a very good swimmer. I got my grade 10 when I was about 12, but after that I hadn't been swimming. So when I went swimming last week it took a bit of time to get used to it. I have been 2x since, and I have improved greatly from the first time. However, I'm not as good as I used to be. Are there any exercises that will improve my swimming, or is it just more swimming that I need to do? And if so, are there any drills that I could do to improve my 100m time?

I am hopefully going to be doing a lot more biathlons/pentathlons in the future (it started with a school pentathlon that I won last year, and I really enjoyed it so am hoping to carry on and improve). I'd greatly appreciate some guidance for a workout routine and some drills to improve my 100m swim and 1000m run.

cheers guys! :)
