Best workouts for UPPER hamstrings

I'm trying to target my upper hamstrings, specifically the area just under my butt. It seems like squats, deadlifts and leg lifts just build my glutes and middle/lower part of my hamstrings. Can you tell me some workouts that specifically target that upper area where your hamstring meets your butt?

you cant target the upper hammys. The fibres run in the one direction, all the way from your bum bone to below your knee..
 
What is it you want? do you want one of those hams that sorta run into the glutes, instead of ham - bulge inward - glute? If so, then a lot of hip extension exercises like deadlifts, RDLs, GMs, etc will help do that. They won't build the upper hams, because as Matt said, you can't, but they help get that hamstring flowing into glute thing if that is what you are looking for.
 
The hamstring has two functions: hip flexion and knee flexion. If you train both you'll get a nice response from the hams and by extension your ass.
