"I got a new life...you would hardly recognize me I'm so glad. How could a person like me care for you" :D Hah! I thought I was the only Ace of Base fan around here. It's a very motivational song, indeed. So is "The Middle."

I posted already on a similar topic like this but I'll post some more. Lately I've been running to some slower paced songs and it works out for whatever reason. OK here we go.

Faint / Linkin Park
Close Your Eyes / Daybehavior
Jude Law and A Semester Abroad / Brand New
Sic transit gloria / Brand New
Everytime We Touch / Cascada (something so awesome about running to trance synths)
Ghosts (Vincent De Moor Mix) / Tenth Planet
Boys of Summer / DJ Sammy
Total Eclipse of the Heart / Nicky French
Two Tickets to Paradise / Eddie Money
Obscure / Dir en grey
Polyrhythm / Marty Friedman
King of Wishful Thinking / Go West
Relax / Frankie Goes to Hollywood (Absolutely filthy song)

ironicly the music i usually listen to doesn't work well in the gym, i listen to all sorts. I dont have a set play list i have the following smart playlists dont in iTunes

One playlist contains songs rated with 5 stars, that have not been played in a week
One playlist contains songs rated with 4 stars, not played in 3 weeks
One playlist contains 200 random songs not in any of the other lists that have been not played in 3 months

Then the master playlist which contains the previous 3 playlists.
So, i get a mix that generally contains mostly favourites i haven't heard in some time , interspersed with things ive not heard in like forever . This is my usual listening list.

Then i get yet another playlist, and have that take from that list, and chooses anything in the previous list with a BPM between 80-120 for exercise.

Let me emphasize! I'm NOT an ace of base fan. LOL. I just music with a fast beat to get me pumped up!
Thanks for the reminder about the Alien art farm tune! That's a good remake!

it's either high energy dance and electro like bloody beatroots,deadmau5, and justice
or soft a eff indie like death cab, iron and wine, and the decemberists...
i can't stay here too long or i'll start listing songs and not stop...

OK lemme clarify. Good to know someone else remembers that song :p

bah... who cares... i love ace of base... and while we're at it i think ke$ha is smart and talented... but then again i like a lot of things that most people don't... i also prefer television programming from the UK rather then most of the stuff we put out here... i'm a sucker for doctor who...

Woohoo. NOW I can say it's good to see another AoB fan :p You're right though I think Kesha is pretty talented. Like Lady Gaga, she knows how to manipulate the current state of music and pop culture to her advantage. I really like how she flaunts Autotune quite unapologetically. It dunno it just feels like a guilty pleasure though, her and Gaga. When I play them in my car my friends are like WTF dude? Some times i turn up the volume just to annoy them.

Also one time I was pulling up into the gym parking lot. And I had "Your Love Is My Drug" blasting. One guy was looking at me like o_O and another was grinning at me from ear to ear. xD I like to watch the British comedies on PBS. The old ones like Keeping Up Apperances and My Hero. I try to watch BBC America but I really have a hard time understanding them sometimes. Or I don't "get" the jokes.

Daybehavior if you like trance synths check out "galvanize" by datsik, it's more dub step but it makes you feel like you're working out with optimus prime.

i like soca..i am from the caribbean and it's really fast upbeat happy music. Nothing can pump me up more than that. Lyrical content leaves much to be desired but the tempo is all i care about. Here are some artistes/ song. Feel free to youtube them.

jw and blaze/ palance
fay ann /meet super blue
destra/ max it up
destra/aur chale
alison hinds/ roll it gal
iwer george/ ready
Patrice Roberts feat. Machel Montano/Band of D Year
Peter Ram /Woman By My Side
Machel Montano /Thiefin

LOL you're right Island Girl, that Palance song has a crazy tempo. Its got that whimsical carnival quality. Actually kinda reminds me of a LazyTown song on uppers. I liked it was quite amusing

Fatguy, I haven't listened to much Dubstep aside from DJ Skream's remix of La Roux's In for the Kill. I really do like the sound though. I checked out a few other songs from datsik and they're all pretty damn awesome. The Final Fantasy fanboy in me was particularly drawn to Jenovah Project :)

I love dancing round the house listening to the Ministry of Sound, after a while it gets a bit annoying though so I switch to some Classic 80's. I love songs like Footloose its guaranteed to get me moving.

I LOVE that song, it was on the radio this morning as I drove to work. It's brilliant and made me instantly go into 'Rocky' mode :boxing:

When I do cardio I get down to Rihanna,Usher,Train,Lady GaGa,Janet Jackson. Kathy Perry. All the top beats that make ya wanna boogie out on the Road! Also I get nasty real nasty when I pump iron! Then the mp3 player gets crazzzyyy! I pump iron to Metallica, Motorhead,Black Sabbath. Anything that makes me crazzy and wanna turn over cars! GGGRRR! Then after all that I relax at night to soft tunes. Like Josh Groban and native flute mediattion. I make it interesting never boring! The world is colorful with all kinds of powerful sounds! Gets ya motivated!

Jamie T, it's great especially for running. Some songs are a bit slow but others like Chaka Demus
Hocus Pocus
Castro Dies &
British Intelligence
are great for running

Anyone remember Eiffel 65? If not, I bet you would if looked up 'Blue' from their Europop album. I really like working out to that album, especially 'Move Your Body'. :)

lol - "Kathy" Perry :D. Good to know there are others like me who can go from teen pop to metal in a single workout.

Lately I've been revisiting some songs from my clubbing days....before every club started playing nothing but Top 40 remixes.

Addicted to Bass / Puretone
Faster Kill Pussycat ft. Brittany Murphy / Oakenfold (kinda hard to listen to now since Brit died)
Zombie Nation - Kernkraft
Twilight Zone - 2 Unlimited
Beautiful Things / Tiesto with Andain
Just Can't Do / Tim Deluxe
Beautiful (Valentin Radio Edit) / Christina Aguilera
Rapture / IO
Burn with Desire / Armin Van Buren
I'll Fly With You / Gigi D'Agostino.
Da Funk / Daft Punk
Emerald Sword / Rhapsody (they're like a cooler Dragonforce)
