I believe large shoulders and upper back do more for appearence than people think the chest does. Military presses and rows go a long, long way there.
As for legs...squats. I hate doing squats, but they are the king of exercises. The more muscle mass you have the more resources you body allocates to maintaining those muscles...and your legs are the largest group of muscles you have. I hit a wall with muscle growth because I was neglecting my legs. I hit my legs hard now and am back on track.
