There ya go. Running, jump roping, biking, basketball....

Anything that will keep your heart rate up for long periods of time is good for calorie burn.

Weightlifting will also help you burn a ton of calories, both when you work out, and throughout the day. Don't be surprised if your appetite increases alongside your muscles!
 
I do run in the threadmill for 5mins straight for 5mins on 5.5 speed, and when I get off the threadmill I'll be sweating like crazy. I also weight lift but only doing situps to thin out my gut.
 
I personally like the eliptical machine. It usually burns calories faster because of the resistance on the upper body also. The stair master kills me too.
