Before, in between, and after. 211-140! :) (New thread!)

Hey guys. I haven't posted in here in what seems like forever, and that's not good! I used to have a pretty big before and after thread, but it kind of died out when I started visiting this site less frequently. I decided to make a completely new one... with new pictures. Lot's of new pictures! :)

Anyway, I'm 18 years old, and I decided to lose weight in 2008, just after I turned 17 years old. I was 211 pounds, and had a bmi of 34.1. I decided to lose my excess weight when my doctor told me that I was out of control, and if I didn't do something about my weight quick, I'd be facing a lot of health problems. I started seeing a dietitian immediately, and lost my first 30 pounds in only 2 months! The victory was short lived, however. I couldn't afford seeing that doctor anymore, and my eating habits went right back to the way they were. After I discovered that I was gaining my weight back, I decided to lose the weight on my own, and that's just what I did.

In December 2008, I reached 145 pounds, which was 5 pounds below my original goal of 150. I now weigh 140 pounds, and couldn't be any happier.

I've struggled a little bit with the whole maintenance thing, but I'm getting the hang of it. :)

I eat a lot of cereal, and a ton of fruit. I do 30 minutes of cardio five days a week, and have a pretty physically demanding job at Outback steakhouse. I keep very active.

I do, however, treat myself on the weekends. I mean, you can't work at Outback Steakhouse without being able to eat the food sometimes. ;)

Since December, I haven't permanently gained any weight back. I get on the scale everyday. I never let things get out of hand.

Thanks for listening, guys. I'm going to post a boat load of pictures now. He he. ^____^;

Okay, this is what I looked like at 200-211 pounds. I was a size 19-20:

Here are a few from when I was around 170-180. I was a size 15-16:

Now here are some currents! I'm 140 pounds, and a size 10/ medium:

Anyway, I'm not going to post anymore right now, because that was like... a ton already. :)

I just want to tell you guys, that if you're currently trying to lose weight, or you're thinking about it... you can do it. It's so worth it, and it will change your life.

And ladies, embrace your curves. I'm a size 10, not a size 2, and I don't think I'd ever want to be. Curves are beautiful, and you really don't have to be stick thin to be beautiful. In fact, I get hit on more than my size 2 friends. You're all beautiful, whether you're a size 6, or a size 16.

Thanks for reading, guys! :)

Wow! Great job on the weight loss. It's funny that I came across your thread because I am at exactly 211 right now and want to get down to 150.

I've always thought I've been crazy for wanting to do that because like you, I do have curves.

So, just wanted to let you know...very inspired by your thread!!

I started working out again this past Sunday and am going to stick with 5 days a week.

How long did it take you total to get down to your goal weight?

Thank you so much! :)

When I first started losing weight, I was really discouraged, because I wasn't losing it where I wanted to.

I've always been a very curvy girl, and not until I reached goal did I learn to appreciate them.

Personally, I don't think I'd be nearly as confident as I am if I didn't have them.

The big boobs help too. He he. Being a curvier woman is just sexy!

It took me about a year to get down to my goal.

Good luck on your journey! :D
