So about 2wks ago i decided that tomorrow will be my BIG day i will start my weightloss journey. I signed up at a gym on Aug 18th but i wanted to wait til the 1st of the month to start my journey. I went out shopping the other day and ill list some stuff that i had bought. Id like some opinons as to if the stuff i got is good or bad or anything else i should pick up to help with my weightloss. I will be posting measurements and weight tomorrow when i take them all in the morning. Here is my food list:

Oragnic Pasta Sauce, Whole Grain Pasta, Whole Grain Bread, Fat Free American Cheese, Walnuts, Almond Dried Fruit & Nut Mix, Mini Boxes Of Raisons, Caffine-Free Herbal Tea, Rolled Oats (for oatmeal), Egg Whites, Raw Honey (as a spread for toast or to top on oatmeal), Rice Cakes, Sun-Dried Tomato Wraps, Whole Wheat Wraps, Perdue Grilled Chicken, Chicken Breast, Brown Rice, Veggies (tomatos, red peppers, celery, cucumbers, carrots, mixed greens), Veggie Steam Bags (the ones with broccoli & carrots), Fruit (peaches, nectarines, bananas, apples), Light & Fit Yogurt, Orange Juice, Crystal Light....

the downside to it - that I see - is that it's boring and lacking in any real flavor - and for me it's too diet-y and not a lifestyle change... What are you going to do when you hit your goal? Is this a food plan that you can stick with for the rest of your life?

Do you eat a lot of meat products? I'm trying to start on this new weight loss journey myself and it helps like Mal says to add a little flavor because otherwise it gets very boring very quickly...and hard to stick to as a result...you definitely have great stuff for a solid foundation....but make sure that you add things to it to bring out flavour....like when I cook my chicken from now on I'll be using spices to add a little flavor, or instead of just doing a plain tomato sauce with pasta, I'll add vegetables like peppers, or maybe even artichoke hearts to increase the flavor so I don't get bored...good luck with your weight loss journey.
