Before and currently.. Hoping to lose 30 pounds by the summer!

Hi there..

So I don't have much to say right now but I'm hoping this will keep me motivated while I'm on my journey of feeling and looking better for myself.. Two summers ago I had lost 30 pounds and gained some of it back.. so now I'm here to get back into shape and feel great by the summer!

Here are my photos so far and I've been keeping a log every other week or so.. I'll update on my progress.

I'm currently 182 pounds and I'd like to at least be 145-150 pounds.

Hi katvee, welcome! How did you lose the 30 pounds last time? I don't know if you've been on the site before but there is lots of good info. Definitely worth a look. What's going to be your strategy this time?

Hey guys! Thanks for replying. Two summers ago I was in the LA Weightloss program and lost the 30 pounds with just eating better.. It literally was 2-3 months when I lost that amount and all I did was take out carbs.. I didn't eat any pasta, noodles, rice or bread.. If anything I'd have a whole wheat toast a day.. I didn't exercise, just started the program adapting to eating more veggies and fruits.

I think the main reason why I lost track was because I was in my last year of college and I was too busy to have my weigh ins twice a week. After that, I started to eat carbs again and that's when the pounds came back on.. It was also hard eliminating carbs all together.

My strategy is to eat more veggies, fruits but also add in alternatives to things like whole wheat pasta etc if I really wanted it..

By the way, to answer your question! I'm 5'6 and 182 pounds and I'm currently 22 years old.

Take this from a male the same age as you, you're beautiful! I'm sure by the time you reach your goal this summer, you're going to look absolutely gorgeous.

Haha I just realized that actually after posting :p It is a great idea though because most dressing rooms here in Toronto have great mirrors so why not! and thank you very much for the compliment, I try to look my best because of the field that I'm in :)

Totes! :) I'm in a creative field too, I do design and journalism so I get to wear whatever I want! What do you do? Anyway, sounds like we have very similar goals. I'm not sure how tall you are, but I'm 5'3 and I'm trying to lose at least 30 lbs by July 1st...

That's awesome! I'm a graphic designer/photographer :) Good luck on your goals!! I'm sure by summer you'll feel and look great. Keep us posted too! I just signed up for the gym today and I'm super excited.
 
haha I'm pretty much in the same situation as you lost 30 pounds 2 summers ago worked my ass off at the YMCA everyday after school spent 2 hrs working out + eating properly which pretty much lasted 3 months tops since then due to certain circumstances I pretty much plummeted and gained the weight back + more. Now trying to lose the weight for the summer but its been so cold outside lately in ontario jeez...Keep up the work you'll eventually get there and don't give up! Be consistent and stay focus and you'll see results.

You too! Keep focus and you'll be fine :) I think being on that program definitely helped me with losing weight really quick but I don't think it ever fit my lifestyle because I deprived myself too much.. I think this time around, it's more of a change of lifestyle rather than having it a pure hardcore diet!
 
you look so great,,when I read you weight is 182 I said HOW COME ??
I'm 174 & you look thinner than me
then I realized you are 5'6 tall & I'm 5'2
you definitely look awesome
