Hey guys! I just happened to stumble on this site this evening, and this might just be what I need.

Back in May, I resolved to lose some weight, since I'd been carrying around this baby fat (and maybe more than baby fat) for years. So since then, I've gone from 140 to 120 lbs, so proud! But I've since been stuck there.

So anyways, I figure that if I start a journal on a forum like this, I'll have people to answer to, to keep me in line.... so yeah. Cheers!

heya hun! you are the same weight as me now. what weight are you looking to reach and how tall are you? (sorry for being so nosey lol..)
and what plans do you have to lose the weight?
btw congrats on the weight youve already lost - thats awesome :)

Aww, thanks guys! Sometimes it's hard to bring this topic up to friends and family. It's always been kind of a sensitive issue. So It's definitely cool to look for support online. Good luck to you guys too!

I'm 5'3, and right now I'm looking at losing another 10lbs of fat, but I understand that I might just gain some muscle weight as well, so I'm not really focusing on the scale too too much. Basically, I'd like to whittle my waistline down to 25-26 inches. I'm at 28 inches now.

Over the summer, I did a LOT LOT LOT of running, and then some biking. Well, winter's hit, and often it's too cold outside to try and run. Even if I did, sidewalks are icy these days. Surprisingly, I haven't gained any of my old weight back, and I credit that to eating moderately well. Anybody got any ideas for cardio? My schedule really isn't very flexible, so going to the gym isn't all that easy. I can't wait for the snow to melt!! I can rollerblade to school (50-60 mins roundtrip) or even bike (30 mins). I can eke in more running again... I used to go for 25 minute runs, sometimes twice a day.

But that's when the snow melts. I feel like I'm in a rut otherwise.

haha! wow, that's nuts. well then i'm doubly glad to meet you. I have a body double.

I was thinking of setting myself in the 105-107 range too, but we'll see. So do you have anything in particular you use for motivation? I'd like to look fabulous in my grad dress for May, and I'd like very much to be bikini ready for summer (going to hawaii!).

Good news: the snow's melting!!!

I'd lovelove to go running tomorrow.

1)Trip to France - Spring Break
2)Cotillion - April
3)Graduation - May

I'd lovelove to shed some pounds for each of these events. I'd love to don a swimsuit over spring break, and not feel so bashful about my figure.

Well, yesterday was my official start to healthy eating, and I'm super happy! I did well. Today's going well so far too.

Oatmeal & Banana

Grapes
More Grapes

Lunch: scrambled eggs with a piece of whole wheat bread

Snack: Apple and an Orange

For supper, I'll be having some trout (yum)

Wish me luck tonight! I'm headed out with some friends to a formal Valentine's dance. There'll be snacks....

I leave for France on March 22nd. I want to be down at least 5 lbs by then.

I made a bracelet the other day, on it are 10 beads. Each bead represents a pounds I want to lose. I've been wearing this bracelet constantly since Saturday night... It kind of helps put things into perspective. losing 10 pounds isn't a ridiculous feat, it's doable. Hopefully I'll have 5 less beads on my bracelet before the 22nd.
