schwa...my last ever ramble on the subject...i promise!!
anyway....tomorrow i have something very important to do that will distract me from obsessing about the origins of the universe & hopefully snacking too...as i have some new pink perspex boxes to store my shoes in...told you it was important

& as i had at last count oh can't remember really approx 200 i think pairs of shoes...& thats just the heels.......i'll be busy...i've had some for 10yrs though...now i could joke that they've lasted wayyyyyyy longer than my 3 marriages combined but that wouldn't be very nice....so i won't!!
the big bang is considered the birth of our universe yet science can not explain what came before it...what caused the big bang to happen?? Repeating myself now but...if viewed from a religious perspective...if god created universe/all that we know...who created god?? Always magic i suppose...already mentioned how i was surprised to find stephen hawkings explanation for what triggered the Big Bang was that he likes to believe it was ‘just spontaneously’ created...
in good company actually as even Einstein said...
if you don't believe in magic you may as well be dead
going to have faith (ooooh lets make it 97% today...) in ‘my’ theory that the birth of our universe...ended another...& the cycle will continue indefinitely...no beginning no ending as such (so don’t have to flap about when/how it began...well thats the idea anyway)...just constant destruction & re-creation ad infinitum....
Allegory of faith, by L.S. Carmona (1752–53).
‘Veil symbolizes the impossibility to know directly the evidences.’ Beautiful statue...pity they have it displayed right next to an electric light switch...
though even this of course means excepting that we don’t know everything & probably never will...that there are things beyond our explanation...beyond our current knowledge & understanding of all that we know of the fundamental laws of nature. For me of course...this then leaves room for the possibility of a little gooeyness in the equation...a metaphysical take on things...to try to understand the question of whats it all about????
"Science without religion is lame. Religion without science is blind."
Albert Einstein
Cosmology...branch of metaphysics that deals with the world as the totality of all phenomena in space and time...
• What is the origin of the Universe? What is its first cause? Is its existence necessary?
• What are the ultimate material components of the Universe?
• What is the ultimate reason for the existence of the Universe? Does the cosmos have a purpose?
(interesting....maybe i should have studied cosmology at uni instead of pyschology... my counselling ‘career’ didn’t last long after all...no objectivity at all...like a sponge i soaked up all their upsets & distress...then gave them my phone no. to contact me at home to??! soooooo not professional & not very good for my well being either

)
Determinism and free will...
Determinism is the philosophical proposition that every event, including human cognition, decision and action, is causally determined by an unbroken chain of prior occurrences. It holds that no random, spontaneous, mysterious, or miraculous events occur. The principal consequence of the deterministic claim is that it poses a challenge to the existence of free will. i believe an intermingling of both free will & fate exert influence on our lives...
Religion and spirituality...
Theology is the study of a God or gods and the nature of the divine. Whether there is a God (monotheism), many gods (polytheism) or no gods (atheism), or whether it is unknown or unknowable whether any gods exist (agnosticism), and whether the Divine intervenes directly in the world (theism), or its sole function is to be the first cause of the universe (deism); whether a God or gods and the World are different/’all-in-God’ (as in panentheism and dualism), or are identical/’God is all’...(as in pantheism), some of the metaphysical questions concerning philosophy of religion. For me god/creator is an all-encompassing energy or force more so than a being...the sum total of all that is, was, and shall be.
Space and time...
A traditional realist position in ontology is that time and space have existence apart from the human mind. Idealists, including Kant claim that space and time are mental constructs used to organise perceptions, or are otherwise unreal. Newton, on the other hand, argued for an absolute "container" space. The pendulum swung back to relational space with Einstein and Ernst Mach...i’m with the old guy with the crazy hair...that defied gravity!! LOL
ontology in philosophy...the study of the nature of being, existence or reality in general, as well as of the basic categories of being and their relations....cool!! on 2nd thoughts in my next life i’m studying that!! I wonder though if we did come back would we know all the answers anyway??
Or Maybe they slip out of our conscious mind as we become human beings...so that if we have to do a ‘do-over’...we have to learn from scratch again...bugger!!! until we get it right...whatever it is we were meant to learn...
yrs ago i remember reading in some gooey book or other... that we choose the circumstances of our birth and life...to enable us to experience certain aspects of the human condition/existence (can’t remember what the book was called other than it had a blue cover...)
Have a sneaking feeling...that i may have failed miserably at my lessons in this lifetime & will be made to come back!!! Just hope not with the same bloody family members or ex husbands...double bugger!!!!!!! I’ve also read though (or maybe i dreamt it...sorry schwa y’know how vague us gooey types can be LOL) about patterns of behaviour ...that you can go through repeating unresolved situations in this life in different r/ships with different ppl until you finally work it out & resolve the issues...the learning of the ‘lesson’ is the important thing. so you have more than one chance...yeah but i’ve fell out with > family member & had > marriage...so i’m definitely down for a bloody re-sit.............. Dammit!!!!!!!!
William Shakespeare...
“There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio,
Than are dreamt of in your philosophy.”
Act I, Scene V, Hamlet.
I know i shouldn’t try & speak for you schwa...but the following quote is perhaps more in tune with your way of thinking about all of this ‘stuff ‘ that makes my mind spiral...
"Whereof one cannot speak, thereof one must be silent."
Ludwig Wittgenstein...Philosopher
Anyway if i can override every blummin fibre of my being that was telling me to just eat the damn ‘death by chocolate cake’( hmmmmmmmm chocolate heaven i swear!!) that was on the menu the other day when i went out for lunch...i can finally put all this panic about the origin/purpose of the universe & mankind to bed now...LOL
Btw...
REALLY REALLY WANTED TO....BUT DIDN’T...
though i thought about it for a longgggg time after!! hahaha......
NB to self....choc cake not love or sex................its just food...yeah yeah blahbloodyblah.........
edit 1....
actually i don't agree with einstein & the relational space theory. i'm firmly in the realist/'container' space camp...after all when i'm tripping the light fantastic with the angels & fairies & other light beings...there has to be 'something there' still for us to fly/float about in (not 100% sure of the modi operandi LOL) unencumbered by physical/human restraints...so i believe both space & time continue to exist in the absence of matter. Its opposite is the relational theory
eidt 2...
not sure that 'food' will ever 'just' be food/fuel for me...
is love ever 'just' love?? or sex 'just' sex??? hmmmmm hope not but not sure...
