Beach Body 2011

Starting Tomorrow beginneth my quest to thinness.
I don't know what I weigh.
I know that I'm fat.
And I know that it needs to change.

I think I'm like 12 and a half stone.
I was 14 stone.
But then I went to fat camp and lost about a stone and a half and then i got depressed and lost some more but now I've lost control and am eating like a beast.

My plan is to be sexy on the beach this summer. I mean, I don't know if I'll even be on a beach because I don't have any money? But like, IF i were to be on a beach, I'm gonna look sexy. Is the plan.

The other areas of the plan include hardcore exercising and a low fat diet. Simple.
Except that it's not because I'm such a binge eater.

So I think I'm gonna give up chocolate for Lent. I'm totally a lesbian and Jesus hates me so like, the religious element of Lent is totally irrelevant to me but the no chocolate thing will be useful.

So yeh.
No chocolate.
No hot chocolate (?!!!?really?)
Lots of exercise.
Regularly write down what I eat.

Yeh man.
And maybe I'll go to weight watchers and get weighed.
But that's depressing.

Hey! Weighting yourself is a good first step, helps you to accept where you are at the moment and motivates you to get to where you want to be. I'm a MAJOR binge eater myself, and I know how hard it is to stop yourself from grabbing a chocolate bar or whatever. I would literally spend whole evenings eating. But if you just slow yourself down and talk yourself out of it, or distract yourself, you will definitely be able to stop eating chocolate for Lent!
Good luck!! :)

Thanks for your support, Jessd.
OMG YOU'RE THE PERFECT WEIGHT RIGHT NOW.
I would love to be where you are.

Hey Doubleclick, how are you doing today?

I used lent to start losing weight as well, a couple years ago, i stopped using the bus/started walking. telling people this was good motivation, is also a good conversation starter :)

Thanks for the welcome.
I bet it is a very good conversation starter!
How much weight have you lost? I wish I was 167lbs. Ooooh. Jealous.

Today:

Exercise: 40 minutes at the gym + some walking

Food:

1 x banana
4 x rice cakes with almond butter
1 x small box of raisins
Apple Crisps
2 jelly babies
1 cup o' soup (60 cals, 0.4g fat), 2 crackers (100 cals, 5g fat)
Coffee
Water

I'm bored and hungry. This is hard work.

Is that all you eat? Because if it is, you're wayyyy below your calories, which won't help your weight loss in the long run at all.

I ate Brekvita biscuits :( SO MANY.
I'm such a pieface.
No wonder I've got this heeeeuge again.

Dinner.. not sure whether to have porridge or have veg & chicken.

+ 1 cracker (50 cals, 2g fat)
+ 1/2 tin of baked beans
+ 30g low fat soft cheese
+ spring greens
+ broccoli

+yogurt

Lalala.
I'm down to 177lbs.
I've decided that my first goal is to be under 170lbs. :D :D
I should be there by mid-March, hopefully.
I'm so glad that I got in control of my eating at this time of year. Any later and i wouldn't have a chance in hell of being bikini ready.
If I could be 155lbs by July, OH MAN. I'd be so happy with that. It's not too far away.
I just need to stay in control and monitor what I eat and work out and make sure that I eat enough but not too much.
And not eat chocolate until Lent is over haha.

Today's Meal Plan:

Oat So Simple for breakfast
Banana for snack

That's all I have in mind so far. Hmm.

You know what's kind of depressing?
Reading my old LiveJournal from when I weighed 142lbs.
It's fine though. I'm gonna get there again.

Hey there. Welcome to the forum.

It sounds like you are ready to do this and do it the right way and I know you can be successful :) The only thing that bothered me though is you said "low fat diet." I would like to caution that LOW FAT, LOW CARB, LOW CALORIE and anything else that is "LOW" is not going to be the healthiest way to go about things.

You should be consuming plenty of fat, but not like tons of saturated fat or trans fat because those are bad, but you should eat lots of monounsaturated fats, which are very good for you. Fat is a macronutrient, which means our body NEEDS lots of it to function properly, but you must be careful that you don't go overboard on them or else you store too much of it.

I would suggest just eating a healthy, balanced diet that has good amounts of fats, carbs, and protein. Don't cheat your body out on nutrition that it needs, because it can have a very negative effect on weight loss (and your health) if you do.

:) I can't wait to see your transformation over time, you can do it!

Looks like it's going pretty well for you! I know what you mean about getting control before its too late, I'm pleased I have started trying to lose some now otherwise there would have been little difference before summer.

Keep it up ;)

Wow thanks I really appreciate your support. I feel very motivated after reading that. I know that low fat isn't necessarily ideal.. and i will be eating some healthy fats.. like nuts and avocados but yeh, fats have higher calories per gram than carbs is my logic.

How much weight have you lost? I hope to follow your journey too.
