Barratts journal (My journey to a single chin)

I hope everyone had a nice Halloween. Today I did my walk/jog for 1 mile then later did another 1 mile walk. Tonight I will do another 1 mile walk/jog. I joined the health club today and took a tour it is REALLY nice. I talked the guy down from $235 to $99 for the enrollment fee. (I am a salesman, its what I do best, well SECOND best  ) The fees are $45 a month which isn't bad for what they offer. I go in Thursday to meet the PT and to get my workout and measurements in order.
This morning I had my Protein shake and for lunch I had a Lean Cuisine French bread pizza. I am thinking about trying Trimspa with my workout. What do you guys think, is it worth the money?

That's what I had for lunch too! I love those buggers!!! :)

I believe that wonderwoman..( she is one of the moderators on the forum) had great success while taking it.....I took it for about a month....but I took less than their recomendation....Im scared about getting hooked on things like that.....Do you happen to take a fat burner pill?...I have found those to be really helpful when I take them

Hi BArratt! Welcome aboard... I dont know much about trimspa ..but i dont care for pills I really think its all about lifestyle changes & hard work...but some people have done really well on them. Im sure some people here have tried it....
Keep up the hard work. I love your signature on here..on my way to a single chin
LOl love it

You are making some wonderful changes! You must be so proud of yourself. Way to go!
You got the sales guy down from $235 to $99 for the enrollment fee?! I know that "everything is negotiable," but I never thought about haggling about the enrollment fee. Thanks for opening my eyes!

I am proud of myself not for making the changes but sticking with the changes. I am really excited because I know that I won't give up.

Good for you for putting yourself first..That is what Ive had to do ..and do it everyday..My personal trainer told me that everyday in the gym is a good healthy day & she is right! No matter how much I do the fact is Im there & im doing it for me & my future. I want to be an inshape 75 yr old!

I was wondering...is your wife and kids following in your footsteps in the healthy eating and exercise.....Do you all have bikes ?....I love family bike rides!!!!
So now since you will be going to the gym...it will be toning and muscle time....your gonna look great.!!!....AND your wife is gonna wanna start alot more things with ya!!!..lol

My kids are 3 and 5, a little too young to ride but I did get them a cool pull along cart that attaches to the bike and they love that. The added weight makes a great workout for me. My wife already eats healthy and is in great shape. We try to encourage that for the kids but 90% of what they want to eat is chicken strips.
I have not fallen off the wagon once yet, I have stuck to my diet and my walk/jogs. Tomorrow is the first full workout at the gym.

Last night I did a body composition with my PT. I have 28% body fat and it will take me 21 weeks to get to my goal with the right diet and workout.

LOL.....that was such a "baaaaaa"....joke......
Who was joking, they are so soft and don't talk back!!

I decided to not take a fat burner and try it on my own. I have stuck with my diet and exercise. I walked 1 1/2 miles today but didn't workout. I am sticking to a 4 day workout and continue my daily walk/jog.

Last night I took my wife out for a nice dinner and had 1 1/2 pounds of Dungeness Crab and 2 Michelob Ultras. Oh yeah and followed by REALLY good sex!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :p

hahahah good for you!!!! really good sex is .. well ... REALLY DAMN GOOD!!! haha =) That is awesome ... crab, beer, sex ... who's to complain?! lol*
Well I think 21 weeks is doable! Good for you ... keep up the good/hard work buddy!!!! You'll get there in no time!

Well its Wednesday and I feel great. I worked out for an hour last night and slept great. As a matter of fact I haven't slept this well in a long time. The diet and exercise really isn't that hard, it's turning the initial "get your fat ass of the couch" motivation into reality that is the hard part. Once the routine is in place it is easy to follow.

hah, I know exactly what you mean Barratt, the hardest part about exercise for me too is just getting started. Once I get going, I'm great. An hour of exercise is great! Keep it up!

Also there is nothing like a couple of cold beers and great sex!!!!!.....

I know what you mean about how good you start sleeping once the exercise becomes a part of your routine.....I sleep so soundly!!!!
