backtosize3's Diary

I was under the impression that a diary was for the person writing it, not for a critique of what I choose to do. I'm not on a diet to lose "weight" as per scale, I'm here to decrease body fat percentage but gain muscle, as I'm into bodybuilding, not shrinking into a beanpole. A few comments received got on my nerves, all of them were why I eat 6 small meals a day and take Hyperdrive etc. Because I CHOOSE to. At 5'3", I don't need to eat like a pig, and my body simply does not require the amount of food a larger person does. I also have discipline. Ask any educated bodybuilder, trainer and they'll tell you that this is a typical bodybuilder routine. While bodybuilders need more calories than myself, I do kick up the calories/protein when I begin a cycle of lifting to build mass. Unlike most women, I want muscle, which does not mean bulk. When I build muscle, I can literally weigh MORE than when I'm skinny but out of shape (aka have more body fat). A pound is a pound either way, but muscle is DENSE, and you can ask any pro-bodybuilder what they weighed before gaining muscle and after, and the guys I know simply weigh more. I'm 103 skinny, and 110-115 when toned and ripped.

Eating several smaller meals a day is healthier, it keeps the metabolism up. This is probably why I don't fall off the wagon and cheat or crave junk food. I prefer to take the opinion of a pro-trainer rather than people on the boards who just don't get why people take a performance supplement. Around here I run companies, have 20 or so pets on a farm that I need stamina and strength to take care of. When you're lifting 80lb bales of hay daily, then you'll know what I'm talking about.

Not to be a bitch here, but I get treated with far more respect by a bunch of male bodybuilders who are actually walking the talk and inspire me to bounce back after some bad injuries. Yeah, I may have made a mistake in the email Matt, re: I'm not here to lose fat - I meant "pounds on the scale" per se. And no, I've read the "stickies", and honestly I've never read through so many posts of of poor people who are just uneducated. The best advice is DO WHAT WORKS for you. If someone doesn't ask for your opinion, then why PM them or post? Jeez, I'm heading back to the predominantly male board! LOL
