Back again, 3 stone lost and put back on

Wow here I am again, at 182lbs, the biggest i've ever been. I feel disgusted so I know I need to change.

A lot has changed since I was last here, i've graduated in Criminology and now i'm doing a Masters degree in Social Work. Last time I was here I weighed almost 13 stone and lost 3 stone, now i've got a boyfriend and we've been together for 2 years and i've put it back on. I've got way too comfortable in the relationship and we just order take outs and sit on the sofa in front of the tv. I find dedicating time to my workout harder as well, but i'd put that more down to laziness than anything.

This is the third time I will attempt this journey, i've lost 3 stone twice and both times i've put it back it on. The biggest challenge is definitely keeping it off. The first journey I had a journal on here and you guys were amazing and helped to motivate me so much, I didn't come back for the second one, but here I am for the third one. Bring it on!

This time i'm going to try something different, last times I used to weigh myself everyday to motivate myself but that would dictate how I would feel everyday so this time i'm going to try and resist and just weigh in every week or so, that's going to be a challenge but I will try my very best.

I hope someone will pop by and we can take this journey together.

Oh, P.S i'm Stacey (lol I forgot to add that) and i'm 22 :)

Hi Stacey, :waving:
I too have come back from 2007 and weighing more than you at 189, now into week 12 I am 163.8.
I am a lot older than you.. shhhh (50 plus) so you can do it.
I do weigh ever day...but I decided before that, I would not get upset. Ups and downs.

It would let me know if I had too much salt...TOM or even Ovulating, 2 weeks later.. always put on a pound or 2 with that.
You are only 22 and you can do this.
Go for it Stacey.

Aw thank you for your very kind and supportive words. This forum has always been so welcoming.

My partner and I had a chat last night and agreed that things need to change before it gets seriously out of control so when we went shopping we both bought a baked potato instead of our usual large KFC so that was good. And yesterday I did 30 mins of cardio and 30 mins of kettlebells.

Definitely not in the mood to work out today, I feel shattered but I will get it done later on. I cooked Chris and I scrambled eggs this morning for breakfast which is an improvement for me because I usually have 4 slices of heavily buttered toast or chocolate cereal whereas Chris usually skips it altogether and gets something from McDonalds so definitely taking baby steps in the right direction :)

Mrs Wood, how comes the weigh in can tell you if you're had too much salt? I've never thought of it like that. A big well done for your weight loss so far. I need to get my head down to study but i'll pop by your journal later! :)

Hi Stacey,
good for you on your change of food....that is a big thing.
If you look into how much salt is in take away from what you are supposed to have, I am sure you will be surprised.

I love salt and can feel when I have had too much...as I feel swollen.
So every other day I have what I call a low salt day....and my trick is to have a dinner and just add a bit of salt in the last two bites or so.
I posted a bit on carbs on my diary...how they say that carbs turns into sugar, you must make up your own mind on that. All I can say is that cutting carbs has really helped me and my son who is your age, he is totally ripped as they say.

Eggs for breakfast is great....just work out the carbs and calories you have saved compared to the 4 pieces of toast with butter. Fantastic switch.
Keep up the good changes....remember your diet is about 85 % of weight loss.....I still have not done any exercise...bad me, but have still lost weight.
mrs woods.
