Baby got back....and stomach,thighs and chin!

Okay so i figured yea i'm new but i don't wanna wait to jump in and start things so here i go, I just posted a newbie post about myself, but for those who haven't read it..

I'm Mikki 22 female. I'm from Biloxi, Mississippi. I Was at 230, current weight 220 and goal weight is 150. I blame my weight gain on pregnancy...and thank you ice cream.

My goals are to eat healthy and well balanced meals. I also have a dream of someday running in a 5k. but i will start walking today. My goal is to walk at least 3 miles for a start. Also i would like to start of with at least 15 minutes of fat blasting cardio from billy blanks even though i found out last night i have no rhythym whatsoever hahaha..

So far today i've had nothing to eat but no at the purpose of starving...its because i'm broke as hell and payday is today!!!whoooo...okay and grocery shopping is on my list but i do plan to stop at subway for lunch..i love the roasted chicken breast on wheat with light mayo, lettuce, tomatoe, and onions...absolutley superb..with the strawberry yogart and a water to drink.

Thankfully i've never had a preference for sodas, always been a water lover.

As for my shopping list i play on buying

Boneless skinless chicken breast
shrimp
Asparagas
Pineapple
bellpepper
sweet potatoes
cucumber
plums
brown rice
wheat rolls
weight watchers and lean cuisines
and a few 100 calorie packs
yogart
2% milk
special k red berries
eggs
cabbage
thats just a few things to get me started and maybe some other things along the way
 
good luck on your weight loss effort. I think a weight loss journal will definitly help. You may want to try the site allows you to keep track of how many calories you are consuming and what kind of calories you are consuming. Its a great tool. I m currently 265 so I have along why to go to.

Thank you for your support and the link, i joined it earlier today thats going to really help keep track of things. I see your going for 150 too doesn't that just sound like the ideal weight haha:) i have clothes i have been hanging on to for a few years hoping i would reach that weight, we can reach it! But yea i figure if i document my eating and excersice habits or lack of it will motivate me more..

And I love the title to you diary! I always seem to get singing "Baby Got Back"
lol now I just need to fill the other requirement of the song "thin in the middle, but" I forget the rest lol
but "thin in the middle, but a lot of back" would be nice!

:rotflmao: i know, the whole little in the middle thing isn't me right now!! So i know he wasn't singing that song about me! You know i am always craving subway.. not sure how good that is for you but god its all i've been thinking about today..i wanted it for lunch but didn't end up going. yuuummmm. I'm hoping that grocery list does me justice, every time i shop healthy my hubby complains that we never have nothing to eat. After all he talked me into going to a buffett last night :doh:
 
buffets bad.... subway good just depending on what u choose to eat there. I love thier turkey and ham subs and I am pretty sure is under the whole 6 grams of fat thing they advertise all the time.
 
Yea the buffett wasn't even worth the cheating...except the king crab legs...those were heaven..but for dinner i went to subway finaly! But i had me a 6 inch wheat with chicken breast, lettuce, tomatoe, onion, and sweet onion sauce oh my goodness it was soooo good :drooling:
 
Your grocery list looks great! I LOVE brown rice. I pretty much eat it all of the time. I mix some black beans in and some chicken and there is dinner!

Congratulations on the loss so far!

p.s. I also love the title of your journal... possibly the best title yet!

Thanks, haha yea the title fits me. I'm such a nerd hahaha. You know i've never ate black beans before except in bean dips.. that and chicken and rice sounds good. I'm usually a bean person, I could do without the gas but they are just sooo good.
 
Okay so i'm trying very hard to commit to this diet and journal..

Last night i had dinner kinda late about 10ish,
Grilled shrimp (about 12 small shrimp)
Sweet potato
One over easy egg

Breakfast was
2 eggs over easy
2 slices honey wheat low fat toast
and a sweet potatoe

Dinner was
sweet potatoe
pinapple cubes

Snack
Pinapple
1 egg over easy
1 piece toast

Big snack i know i was hungry!!


Okay hahaha i had a sweet potatoe at every meal but its just wat i've been wanting to eat all the time, soooo good!!!

Exercise today was 8 hours retail! Getting off at 10pm and going back in at 7 am tomorrow!!:eek:
 
Okay today was

Subway 6" wheat w/ chicken breast, lettuce, tomatoe, onion, bell pepper, carrots and sweet onion sauce

Dinner is where i managed to slip up again!!! :mad: I'm so mad at myself for it. We went to eat at applebees. I had the shrimp and steak (i didn't eat the steak it was raaaww!!) french fries and broccoli

I ate tooo much but 2marro is a new day!!!!! I can do this all i need to do is stay away from fast food and resturaunts.. I mean i wanted to get something off of the low fat menu but everything looked so good..


I failed miserably!! I feel horrible but really want to do this.. i feel i set myself back..okay i can do this
 
Ok so i haven't updated lately but i'm still doing the whole diet thing. Even tho i have slipped a few times, like starbucks caramel frap yesterday but the scale is still going down i've lost about 4lbs this past 2 weeks..could be better but not really exercising to much besides the regular workout i get at the job haha. But Lately i've been eating tons of eggs and lean pockets, roasted garlic triscuits, cheese cubes. Things like that.. just really cutting back on the the amount i eat. Anyway i think my lil one is catching a cold:( he's sounding a lil congested lately and a lil bit of coughing but nothing to bad.. hopefully it will pass and not get any worse.
 
Your Title made me laugh a lot so i had to read your journal and your food choices seem really sensible!! Very balanced, im sure the stomach, thighs and chin will soon just disappear!!!
