Hi all,
So I started here a short while back, had a diary going, everything was going great. I joined a gym, was working out, starting to see some pounds come off. Then things kind of took a bit of a bad twist. I experienced a pretty devastating/shocking loss. And then I had to face the holidays. Anyways, I couldn't concentrate on mastering my whole lifestyle change.
But I am back! And here to stay this time I promise.
Basically, I am 22, finishing up college, with a job I enjoy and a great boyfriend. My highest measured weight was 161.5 lbs, though I am sure that it was higher at times. It took me awhile to get over the fact that I weighed as much as I did. Even though it might not sounds that bad, I am a relatively small person (5 ft tall!) so it does not take a lot of weight to show. Anyways, that has been the hardest thing to face, how negatively I have viewed myself.
Anyways, I am happy to say that as of this morning I weighed in at 157.5 lbs! The further I get away from that 160 mark, the better I feel about everything. That was "scary" territory for me. Ultimately, I'd like to be 125 lbs by June for my 23rd birthday and the beginning of summer. I cannot remember the last time I weighed that much...probably the beginning of high school!
Anyways, I know that it has only been 4 lbs so far, but I cannot tell you how excited I was to see ANY loss on the scale this morning.
Drinking tea has really been helping me out so far. I drink it constantly throughout the day (maybe even TOO much...), and all kinds. I don't know how I feel about people marketing tea as a weight loss product, but I know that for me, it completely helps curb my hunger and is way more fun and delicious to drink than plain water.
I have sort of come up with a plan, too. Everytime I hit a "milestone" I am going to do something for myself. Either buy some really nice tea that I've been wanting to try, get my hair cut/colored, buy new make up...something to encourage me to keep going. And when I hit a REALLY big goal I plan to take myself shopping for new clothes. I just have to decide what these goals are.
Thank you for listening to my rambling...
P.S. I love to cook and try new/healthy/delicious recipes so if anyone has any to share...please do
Looking forward to meeting you all.
Ava
