hello all, so some of you might have seen my other thread - if not ill make it easy for you - http://weight-loss.fitness.com/newcomers/46123-newcomer-i-need-help.html

well i just recently started atkins, pretty much only because my parents are doing it as well makes it easy when everyones doing it - but im on day three and eggs, chicken and sugar free jello are my new best friend, its a very hard diet but i feel okay on it, im very aware of what i can and can't eat for the most part and im not eating anywhere as close to as much as i was - i usually loose weight pretty quickly so im hoping this will go by fast.

something odd though is my stomach feels "tight" or "hard" and no im not pregnant lol. i also don't know how this is making me feel over all i got really sick yesterday with a cold and now i have that lingering as well and not to mention my wonderful wisdom teeth decided to come in as well! what a great time to start all this, huh!?

but i am having cravings for carbs, and i do believe i was addicted to them but im getting over that hump, and i feel "dirty" when i eat carbs or something i shouldn't now.

finally my exercise, :sigh: i am trying to make an attempt to do more i went away to the city with my boyfriend and really walked and got my butt moving, now i have this cold im having a hard time just walking up the stairs. so once my cold is gone i am hoping i will be able to do more.

go me!

please let me know any advice or food that i can eat! or what i should avoid!

thanks everyone! :seeya:

Welcome!! :)

I have not tried the Atkins diet. Although I know people who have tried it, and have lost the weight they wanted to lose!

It's great that your family is doing it as well. Like you said, that makes it a lot easier :)

I hope you're feeling better- and I hope that once you're feeling better you can continue on with your exercise plans! It's always disappointing and discouraging when you start out, and come across a bump like that. But, I always like to think that there will be bumps along the entire way, and getting over them makes you stronger and is something to be proud of :)

Good luck! And I look forward to reading more about your wonderful progress :) :)

Hi there and welcome!! I never tried the AKtins, but two of my friends were on it and had great results.
I just came out of having to deal with the flu, it kicked my butt for more then a week! That and the time of the month of joy LOL
I'm doing the Leslie Sansone Walk at home exercise. There isn't to many places around here to go out and walk. To many dogs running around and traffic UGH. Since my flu and TOM is gone, I need to start popping in the videos again and get started.
MMM carbs, i know exactly how u feel lol:waving:

I'm sorry to hear that you've been ill! That's never fun and these colds lately seem to be hanging on, so take care of yourself!

I also have not tried Atkins, but have heard that once you get over that 'hump' the carb cravings really do subside.

Can't wait to hear about your progress once you're feeling better!

I've heard of the atkins diet but I really have no idea what in entails.
Congratulations of the 24lb loss! It is truly amazing.
