Aspirin & Diet Dew

Hey guys.

I had a buddy tell me that a good way to burn off excess cals was to take a couple of aspirin and chase it w/ Diet Mountain Dew. He says the aspirin will thin your blood while the Mt. Dew will give you an energy boost, encourage metabolism, and enable you to work out longer kind of like a Ripped Fuel lite.

It sounds good in theory, but is this realistic? I just started back hard this morning and want to shape up and trim down prior to an early-April get away.

Thoughts?

Also.....I've never used Ripped Fuel and have read and gotten mixed reports from friends about its effects. Wanting to stay away from ephed and things of that nature, I'm a bit hesitant though I hear the new formula is ephed-free. Is this true? What have your experiences been using it?

I'm also looking for an ephed-free appetite suppresant. Does such a thing exist?

Sorry for all the questions! New year and time for a new body and I'm anxious to get it!

Thanks!!!

Well that sounds like crap to me.. yes asprin thins the blood if taken on a regular basis, one baby asprin per day. We use it when we suspect that someone is having a heartattack along with nitro. Thinning the blood has the purpose of not allowing plaque to build up long the atery walls and to create less resistance for the heart to pump against thereby decreasing it work load. I don't see how this will make you burn fat faster but the asprin won't hurt you unless youget into an accident - you will bleeed out faster, so if you do this remeber to tell your doctor and medical staff you are on it, its very important.

Well the lower the viscosity of blood, the lower the hematocrit ratio. So on top of what jenn said it would infact damper performance.

Apparently Hot-Rox is a decent product without ephera but i never used it. Only supplments i use are proteins and creatine every now and then.

You're talkin' a little over my head. Could you dumb it down?

ok lower viscosity = thinner blood; lower hematocrit value =is the volume % of red blood cells in whole blood. the red blood cells carry oxygen nutrients and metobolic wastes etc. to and from the body. hope that helps. if not ask and we'll try simpler terms

I know this meat-head who drinks a massive coffie and munches of 4 asprin before every workout. He says it helps numb the burn during burnout sets.

I tell him that when he dies, I'll have better biceps than him with in a week.
