Ashley Amber's Diary

Hey everyone! My name is Ashley and I am 20 years old. I currently weigh in at 210 pounds and I am now desperate to lose weight. I recently bought one of those sexy outfits for my fiance and when I got it in the mail today and tried it on, it just looked horrible on me. He wanted me to show him what it looked like and I did, but as soon as he saw, I took it straight off and put it up. I refuse to wear it, when it doesn't look good on me.

I am currently in college. I am attending the University of Arkansas at Monticello - College of Technology Crossett. I am majoring in Administrative Information Processing. I am working on my associates degree and once I have it I plan to go for my bachelors. I hope to one day get my masters in Accounting. I am engaged to a wonderful man and he is very supportive. I have lost some weight, but, unfortunately, I have gained it all back and a few more pounds.

I have a weakness for Cheesy Snackers from KFC and Grande Soft Tacos from Taco Bell. I just can't see myself giving them up, but I know that I need too.

I am 5'1". I want to get down to 175 pounds by January 30. I started today with 5 of each of the following: sit-ups, push-ups, crunches, backward crunches, and jumping jacks. I walked half a mile today. I have decided that it would be best to start off slow, so I will only do the things that I have listed and other exercises 3 days a week.

If there are any other suggestions or any advice that can be given, they will all be much appreciated. Thank you all in advance.

hey girl.

good to see you started a diary

if you enjoy taco's why not make your own. Buy some wheat tortilla's get some low fat sour cream, beef and lettuce etc and pile it in there. It will probably save you money and calories !

Have you started to plan out the foods you'll be eating along with your new exercise idea?

Hi! Welcome to WLF... I'm new too and I also have clothes hanging in my closet waiting for me... I use them as incentive to keep working!
I totally agree with making the food yourself over buying it at a restaurant. For me it helps limit impulse buying... and in most cases you can choose healthier ingredients in your food when you make the same type at home.

Good luck! Everyone here is cheering for you!

Well, today is my second day on trying to lose weight. Our friends took us out to dinner at a family restaurant and I got some gumbo, but it really wasn't all that great, I ate more fries than anything, but I didn't eat much. My biggest problem is I can eat hardly anything and be full, but an hour later I am really really hungry. I don't know what to do about that. It has been like that now for a little over a year, since I got on the birth control shot. Is there anything I can do to curve the hunger pains?

Well eating regularly is GOOD. don't think that eating often is bad, its better for your metabolism to keep working by eating every 2 hours or so.

How much protein do you eat in each meal? Make sure your not over-eating carbs such as carbs as these can give you a false full feeling whereas protein will keep your full for longer.

Try writing down the foods you eat each day and maybe post them in your journal so we can get an idea of what you eat on an average day.
Try its an awesome site where you enter your foods eaten daily, exercise you do etc.

Keep thinking positive :)

Well, I mowed the back yard today. It wasn't a whole lot to do, but I did do it. I just don't know what I am going to do about the whole eating situation.

Hi..I'm new here as well..:)

If you have a half priced book store near ya, I'd check there for healthy cookbooks or books for life plan weightloss/maintaining..{not fad diets of course bc they don't work..}

I'm doin' the Best Life Diet by Bob Greene and I love it..

I don't have to starve to death and it's super easy to follow..

Check your local library for healthy cookbooks and other materials as well.

~Best wishes~ :)
