I thought this would be the most appropriate forum to post this in.
After losing 27 kilograms over the last couple of years via cardio and regular weights training it did leave some excess around the mid-section. I wondered for a while whether it was fat and skin but last week doc confirmed to me it is skin saying there was no fat at all and that is just the way my body is built. He also mentioned surgery to get rid of it but it would leave horrible scars.
What I want to know is how I should be approaching this then. The rest of my body looks fantastic as a result of the last two and a half years working out, but there is just this blob in the middle. I know sometimes people just have certain body characteristics but am I right to just accept this or is there a way to get rid of it. With consistent solid core training in my regime as well it has developed into a solid wall and it would be disappointing if it were just excess skin preventing it from showing. I have heard people saying doing cardio will make things worse along with doing twists and other oblique exercises making things worse and giving a bigger waist. Or is the doc even correct on this one? Would appreciate any opinions.
