anyone recommend me a book?

hey kids

I am just looking through amazon trying to find a good book covering weight training

something that covers nutrition/exersices/programs

anyone have a book they like and could recommend it?

thanks

"Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle" - Tom Venuto
It covers EVERYTHING. Unfortunately it's an e-book, had to print it out and put it in a binder but I thought it was well worth it.

I have books from Cory Everson and one from Karen Voight that I like & got used on half.com, but i would suggest you go to the store and see what you want, there are TONS out there!

I'd go with Gymcoch's suggestion. Most of the Human Kinetic publications are used in the university setting and are of excellent resource.

I second this, it's a great book

Venuto seems to really know his stuff... I just got the book a few days ago and I'm working through it (it's huge - 300+ pages) and it has an astounding amount of information. Personally, I wish it was a hard copy - I'd probably be willing to pay more for it - but I guess this way is cheaper and more portable. I'm just a little more than half way done, but I've learned a lot already.

I'll have to look into the other stuff you guys recommended. I'm gonna try and finish up BFFM first though :)

As per my other post in this group, check out "The Encyclopedia Of Bodybuilding" by Musclemag International. You can also search the forums for some of my other posts, whereby I do quote from it, from time to time.

newf, I've just looked over your pdf a bit but it looks really interesting. Hah, seems like I'm developing a summer reading list.
