Any good advise or useful exercise for me?

:eek: Ok, i have a ruler body shape which is, almost straight from top to bottom. i would like to know if there's any exercise which i can shape my body up, like tone up my waist?

secondly, the biggest problem is i have BIG BUTT. Let's just say i always gain weight at my butt FIRST! and EASILY! yikes! scary....... :eek: Do anyone of u people know any exercise where i can make my butt smaller? I really need to know, coz i want a better body shape.

I heard that lunges are not suitable for people who tend to gain weight in the lower part of the body, which is like me. As it will only make the butt bigger instead, i'm confused, which exercise is suitable anyway? :confused:

Besides that, are there any diet i can take to have a better body shape or lose a couple of inches? :)
 
:rolleyes: One more thing, err...... can walking help to make my butt smaller? Coz i do morning walk at my house every morning or maybe 4-5 times per week. I will walk around my condo for 3 or 4 rounds up and down hill for about 30-40 minutes.

Since, i'm trying to lose weight, how many calories do you think i can burn from this exercise? :rolleyes:
 
Lunges, squats etc. will stimulate muscle growth in the butt. You can't take fat away from the butt without it coming off elsewhere, i.e. you can't spot reduce fat. As for the butt being the last place for the fat to come off, that's just genetic and you can't do anything about that. Only eat junk food very occasionally - you want as little of the bad fats as possible- and try to get a balanced fairly low fat diet that you can stick to and enjoy. Vegetables, salads are your friends etc. Of course walking will make you lose fat, assuming you don't find it too easy. The more effort you put in the more you'll get out.

So what u're saying is squats, lunges etc. promote muscle growth. Do you mean that by doing such exercise can help tighten my butt or shape it to look SMALLER so that it won't look flabby or BIG??? :rolleyes:

I'm planning to go to the gym after my big exam next month :D , any suggestions on what kind of exercise i should focus on since i have such ruler bodyshape and big butt and hip? Are steps or cycle good for that area? :confused:
 
big butt

I am fairly new to this excersise and health, I have lost 15 pounds but only need to lose 30 total. From what I have learned is that like bred24k said, you cant lose weight in the places you want; your body will take the fat from whereever it wants. Aslo if you only do excersises in your butt, you will build muscle behind the fat making your butt look bigger. You need a cardio workout, i.e. jogging to help burn calories. If you consume less calories a day than you burn by working out, your body will use that fat for the extra fuel. Obviously, but if you naturally store fat in your butt, your body will also use fat from your butt for fuel. Cardio is the key for higher metabalism. Also any muscle you build will use up calories to stay muscle even when you sleep, just so long as you work those muscles somewhat regularly. Hope this was helpful, however it was pretty basic stuff, lol like I said, im fairly new.
