Another Newbie...

Hi there im looking for some advice, i've tried finding out some stuff from the net but keep getting conflicting information so thought I should ask here :)

Basically I am 23 years old about 5'10" in height and weigh about 66kg. I am skinny pretty much all over my body with the exception of my stomach.. I even had the comment made by someone the other day that I look pregnant :action:

I have joined the gym and trying to go about 4 times a week, I have stayed in the cardio room, havent done any weights atm. I am aware you cant lose fat from a specific area on your body but atm heres my routine, yesterday I did 20 minutes on the treadmill, 30 minutes cycling, 15 minutes on the rower and 15 minutes on cross trainer then ended it with another 10 minutes light jog on the treadmill. Basically I just wanted to know if and where im going wrong and what advice you guys can give for me to improve my overall fitness(and losing my belly;)) thanks!

Are you male or female? Google these items: compound exercises and excessive post-exercise oxygen consumption. Then, venture into the free weight section and start doing compound exercises to generate EPOC which will burn fat faster than cardio alone (but continue to do the cardio).

I am male, thanks for replying! another quick question, I am up for going to the gym even more if need be I quite enjoy it and seem to have a lot more energy since going, i've been doing 2 days then a rest day then 2 days again then a rest day and so on. I quite fancy doing it 3 days a row then a rest day, is that a bad way of going about things..?
