Another 14 Year old Looking for Muscle.

I've lately been looking for High school Sports since i'm going to be an Incoming Freshman next year. I want to use the summer months to train and condition. I want to join either Football, Or Soccer. I'm also probably able to get Gym Access through school programs and stuff.

I'm 5'6. I weigh 120 Pounds. What I want to know is what type of Exercises should I do? Also What should I change in my diet. I'm pretty sure I have a Fast Metabolism since I'm able to eat and eat and eat but not get any bigger.

soccer and football are quite different. Soccer is more aerobic and an-aerobic while football is more about muscles and strength, granted some conditioning is required but not a huge amount

Football wise it depends on position, a wide reciever will need more condition than a lineman obviously. But for all positions I would reccomend strength workouts.
Press ups, squats, lunges and the like. I personally use the Navy seals workout -
Its in parts so just keep watching it, write it down on a sheet and do it all, I would reccomend only 5 reps 2 start with, then build it up

First step I suggest you take is getting some good help with learning proper lifting techniques before you hit the gym. Working with young athletes a very common reason for being sidelined during the season is from chronic injuries that manufested in the weight room (typically poor instruction and supervision). Being an incoming freshman focus on body weight moves and this does not have to be limited to push ups and pull ups. Athletes need plyometrics training "jump training" as well and this will help you with speed, agility and power. Learning to lift and train properly will provide you with a more sure foundation to make better gains in the future. Over training is easy as well for new and fanatic lifters so resist that urge to stay in the weight room for hours on end, again this will come from good education. Good personal trainers are out there and most were athletes themselves so seek their help. As for eating consider it a gift of young age. Eat to get big and eventually your body with grow as you get older. Consider it "tackling fuel". Protein and carbs are big for performance but don't neglect the veggies and fruits. Your body needs the right vitamins and minerals to grow and stay healthy as well.

In the registration papers they state that they are going to use the (BFS) Bigger Faster Stronger Program. I've never really heard of it.

Anyways, Whenever I try to bench my arms like wobble from side to side. I can lift it but they wobble so I'm afraid that I might accidentally drop the weight onto my chest. Is this normal or do I just have to practice to get rid of it?

Give your body a chance to develop. if you do start to train, body weight stuff will be best to begin with. packing on muscle is easy compared to trying to rehab from a lifting injury or learning bad form that can stick with you for a lifetime

I have a few more questions. What would be an Ideal weight for High School Football. Since I need more muscle mass, what kinds of diets do you recommend? High Protein or something similar to it?

Currently I know My Legs can do a 3 Sets of 80 Pounds with 8 Reps Each on a Leg Curler machine.

My arms can bench 50 pounds but I'm very sure i can do more Since I can do about 70-80 on other types of machines. Doing 3 Sets of 8.

Those were a while ago, It know it isn't much but I wasn't really experienced and I didn't have much time in a gym just an occasional visit every two weeks or so.

What weight should I try to reach, or should I just increase it little by little. I'll have access to a gym when the training starts but their putting us on the BFS Program.
