Anna's Diary

Hey Caro we must have been posting at the same time!

As long as your mum can get down onto the floor and up again without too much trouble she should be fine. Its all about beginners and you are encorouged to sit and watch if you are getting to hot or dizzy. I felt faint quite a bit at the start ( and still do occasionally), so its good to be able to kneel or sit down in a hurry (something my mum can't do or she'd be coming too). THey say its for any age.

There are quite alot of plump ladies, definately larger than S18 so thats not a worry.

I'd recommend she gives it a try!

I went to yoga and really focused on my form which was good for my mind.

That's great! I enjoy times in the pool where i can focus on technique/form rather than all out swim... it clears your mind and makes you connect mind & body. Keep it up :)

Hi anna :)

Thanks for your comments in my diary...thought i would have a nosy at yours! You are really doing well and congrats on the 5k drop so far:Angel_anim: Im sure all the yoga must help and im sure you will hit your goal no problem!

The summer is fast coming and its great motivation!

Hey everyone

Thanks for saying hi :waving:

I'm such a moron, I got to work an hour early today. I didn't do all the exercise I wanted to because I thought I was out of time.... sigh.

Oh well I'm eating well though, enough cals left for a snack when I get home.

Catch you all later

A

I would probably sleep on my desk if I realized I came in an hour early - oh how I love my sleep! Where I work if you come in an hour early you get to leave an hour early but I'm assuming that doesn't work where you work.
Your doing great! Keep it up!

Yeah, where I work if you come in early everyone laughs and makes fun of you! Its ok, I went off and had a coffee and relaxed which was nice.

I've had a pretty high junk food low exercise coupladays... gotta get back into it tommorrow. We start daylight saving tommorrow which means getting going an hour earlier. I always feel jetlagged for a week. sigh. i'm tired already.. boohoo

Anyway, I'll have to get motivated. I'll be doing the c25k week 2 and then week 3 after wed, and I'll go to yoga about 5 times and I'll try to get in a pump class and a step class. I thought I might throw a swim in for fun? I can't swim very far, but theres that crazy swim jogging (you put a floatation thingy round your waist and then you can chat while you jog in the deep end of the pool), you sort of look mad but its funfunfun

I finally just did some measurements. i know they're just numbers but they're a bit daunting eeek.

Anyway I'll put them here because otherwise I'll just throw them away and pretend they don't exist!

Calves L 45cm R44cm
thigh L 50 R52
upper thigh L 65 R65
Hips 109
Bum 117 (does my bum look big in this diary?:blush5:)
Waist 103
under boobs 89
boobs 101
upper arm L33 R34.5

I'll check them again at halloween.... bring on the losses:hurray:

I'm so tired... and I've been eating too much sugar (these things go together I think)...

So I'm going to go to the gym (its raining outside) and get on the elliptical and teadmill and do some abs workout, and see if I can wake up a bit.

Here goes!

Good way to wake up! Wish I could do the same. I set my alarm to workout before work but then hit snooze :banghead:
Keep it up and get that sugar out of your system with lots of water today! I have to do the same!

Had a great workout at the gym yesterday. I did a cardio work out on the machines and had my heart rate monitor on, so I was doing 1 min 'sprints' on the ellpitical and bike. I really enjoyed it.

A couple of people smiled at me (like they knew I was working really hard), so that was cool. I've been at work early this morning and have to go back tonight at 11 for the night shift, so I'm about to nap and then i'll hit the gym this evening.

A

well done on the workout - you're doing a great job!! wish i had the dedication to go to the gym so often...must follow your example!

Well, I'm at work on the night shift... I had a massive sleep this afternoon, from 1 to 5pm! That's probably my longest nap ever I think ( and I'm pretty good at lying in bed lol)

After the nap, it took me a while to get myself together, so I had dinner at home and went to the gym afterwards (which aint my normal way of doin things). Ireally didn't want to go. but I really enjoyed it. The gym had just the right amount of people (not too many, but some) and they were all really focused and working out hard.

I did 25min of weights
Leg press 5sets from 100k up to 165 kilo (final set)
Seated chest press 3 sets 45lbs up to 60lbs (smart gym has some things in kg and some in lbs)
Seated row 3 sets 60kg and 75kg
reverse fly 3 sets 7kg and 10kg
lunges (no weight) 3sets 12

Then i did 20min elliptical and 10min bike avg 150bpm ( I was pushing pretty hard)...

I got up a good sweat and felt great after.

Today I ate
Bfast 2pieces multi grain bread w low fat cream cheese 290cal
coffee with low fat milk 40cal

Mtea orange and banana 190cal

Lunch omelet w 2 eggs, mushrooms, olive oil and parmesan 265cal

ATea (after nap) sculpt protein bar 180cal

Dinner pasta with chicken and veges and tomatoes 430cal

snacks (inc night shift) orange and watermelon 100
2 processed cheese slices 85
1 homemade cookie 130cal
chicken 180cal
I also drink green or peppermint tea ( lots)
1890cals.... my goal is 2000

I've written all this down so that I can remember a strategy for a night shift day. I've managed to do it without choc or candy this time (a big achievement for me), and I'm feeling awake and ok. Hiopefully I can do it again next week.:waving:

Good job anna! Way to start the week off right! I love how we can be feeling crappy and then work up a good sweat and feel so much better! I always have to think of that when I don't feel like working out!
Good work and keep it up!

Aren't afternoon naps just the best? I cut work early, came home and took one too today. I thought, what the hell, life is short, I deserve an afternoon nap once in a while. I woke up refreshed.

Also, this strange eye infection left me a little feverish, so the nap helped.

Good to see you are doing so well, Ana. How's the running going?

hey ana :)
way to go for recording whats been working for you when on night shift. I keep a separate food log at home with my weight trackings on it and sometimes it helps to refer back to it when i feel down in the dumps

Good for you for making it to the gym for a workout despite not wanting to-and great to hear you ended up enjoying it! If only we can remember how good we feel after a workout, so it can inspire us to go for a workout when we really dont want to eh?!

Man my days get so full, its hard to keep track sometimes.

My hubby and I own a couple of rental properties, and one of them is empty at the moment, so I went round there to sign up a new tennant, and when I got there the house had been broken into and the hot water cylinder stolen... people steel them and then sell them to scrap metal merchants for the copper inside... I was soo MAD.. I had it when people steel from me. We have to work so hard to keep the rental properties and then that happens. It sucks!!!

So you can all ignore the last post if you like. I thought i'd seperate it from this diary entry so I can get over it!

I'm sitting here tonight in the quiet empty house trying to come up with reasons to go out and get something. Unfortunately i know that the something would be choc and candy! So I'm online catching up with people's diaries, and my own instead. I think I'll take a hot bath soon and get an early night.

I did week 3 day 1 of the c25k yesterday. It was hard! the 3 min jogging just about broke me... but I did it.

Today I took my dog and bike to a bike track that runs alonside a beach and then through a pine forest. It was alot of fun, riding for about 45 min up and down and along. The dog got really puffed, which was good too!

Tomorrow I am going to do the 10k track at the forest. I'll start out with the c25k podcast and then just walk the rest. It's really nice there early in the morning, I'm looking forward to it. I thought I'd time myself and then I can do it again sometime and see if my fitness is increasing.

My eating has been good the last 2 days, so I seem to be back on track which is good. Haven't been to yoga for a WEEK oops. But I've been enjoying mixing up the exercise and doing some other stuff.

I didn't drop any weight this week, but am not surprised after last week's big loss. Hopefully some more will show up next week.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Anna

I'm sure next week you will be down if you keep it up! Your doing so good so far so don't let it get you down this week.
That sucks about the water tank - things like that really get to me.:cuss:
Have a great weekend - let's make it better than last :waving:

I've just set my schedule for the next 4 weeks, and I'm hopeful of sticking to it. I've got to schedule my exercise or it doesn't get done, I always seem to be so busy.

Anyway , feeling positive, like its all going to go well! I love that feeling...

See ya all later

Ana

Hey Anna! I just wanted to pop by to see how things were going. You seem to be doing pretty good, keep at it! That really sucks about the hot water tank... I really hate how people do stuff like that!! Oh! That's a great idea! Scheduling exercise... I will have to give that a try. Have a good weekend! :)
