Andrea's journey to Buff Bride

Hi all!
I am new here but i figured i'd start a journal so that you could get to know me! I am a 20 year old female from upstate New York. I am trying to get into the best shape of my life for my wedding on July 29th, 2006. I am open to any suggestions on my diet and fitness routine...so feel free to critique me!

Stats as of 1/9/06
Height: 5'4"
Weight: 130lbs
Chest: 32" under breasts / 37" over breasts (34DD)
Waist: 29"
Hips: 35"
Thighs: 21"
Biceps: 9.75"

My Goals
-To tone up & define all areas of my body
-Lose lots of belly fat (this is where i carry most of my weight!)
-Lower Body Fat %
-Meet a goal weight of 115lbs
-Look good in a bikini
-Be happy with myself!!!

Current Workout Routine
WEIGHT TRAINING = Mon, Wed, Fri
(alternating upper & lower body w/ 10min warm up on elliptical)

CARDIO & ABS = Tues, Thurs, Sat (30+ min run/walk in a.m. on empty stomach)

Diet
I try to stay in the 1200-1300 calorie range
Carb cycling to see how it works...
On lower body weight training days i have HIGH carbs (200 max)
On upper body weight training days i have MEDIUM carbs (130 max)
On cardio/ab days i have LOW carbs (30 max, all coming from veggies)

a typical day looks like this:
-1/2 cup oats & 4 egg whites
-whey protein shake w/ fruit
-shrimp or egg whites w/ a veggie or salad
-whey protein shake
-shrimp or egg whites w/ a veggie or salad

We get all kind of brides in my clubs in washngton DC prepping for the big day

I'll make a big suggestion, take your time and coast in, in other words the last couple weeks try to make no changes just maintain and enjoy otherwise it screws with dresses and functions.

well what kind of weight routine do you have?? need more info. use the search function for clean diet and check it out, see if your diet is similar. hard to say not really enough info.
 
WEIGHT TRAINING SPLIT (Mon, Wed, Fri)

UPPER BODY DAY (3 x 10) with 8lb. dumbbells unless otherwise listed:
• 10 min on elliptical
• Lat pull-down (machine)
• Back extensions
• Dumbbell curls
• Hammer curls
• Dumbbell shrugs
• Up-right rows
• Side raises
• Front raises
• Shoulder Press
• Triceps kickback
• Triceps extension


LOWER BODY DAY (3 x 10) with 8lb dumbbells unless otherwise listed:
• Walking Lunges
• Squats
• Plié Squats
• Stiff-leg dead lift
• Weighted side leg lifts (ankle weights)
• Leg press (machine)
• Calf press (machine)
• Kneeling kickbacks
• Weighted kick-ups (ankle weights)
 
ok knock off some of the isolation exercises and hit the compounds, squats, deadlifts, RDL's GM's, bench press etc... pullups what core work do you do??
 
i wont do bench press, i have breast implants and i have seem the effects that chest exercises have done to them. (mine are under muscle) i do not want them to get smaller or farther apart after what i paid for them.
 
and you think you need to lose weight....your looking pretty good from where i sit..anyway thats enough of me invading the girls section...lol.

breakfast - 6 egg whites w/ dash low fat cheese
snack - 2% mozzerella string cheese & jello w/ fat free cool whip
lunch - 1/2 can of tuna & 1/2 cup spinach
dinner - 2% mozzerella string cheese & 10 shrimps & 1 orange
snack - low-fat cottage cheese

it seems like i ate a ton today, but here are my totals:
i don't know how to get my cals up without feeling like a fat ass!!

I would actually add another snack in there in between lunch and dinner. 726 calories is a very low starting point.
 
700 howmuch!?!? *falls from chair*
That is only justifyable if you are a very small midget of 30 kg!!!
If you are, then go ahead, but if you are not then you are going to ruin your metabolism with this diet.
According to what I know you should eat at least 300 kcal more and that you can still only do if once or twice per week you try to make a junkday to feed your metabolism.
Go on like this and you'll condemn yourself to a lifelong sentence of dieting and fear of every piece of cake getting straight to your fatcells.
