And i'm back...

I'm not a newbie... I used this weight loss forum a while ago whilst i was at university. It was really helpful to me while i was trying to loose weight...

Anyways... the reason im back is because i've put all the weight i lost back on and even more. :( I was working at a summer camp in America over the summer and just didn't watch what i was eating. Because i didn't have constant access to any scales i just didnt realise (until it was too late) how big i was actually getting.

So... here are my stats:

I'm 22, Female and live in the UK. currently weigh 197lbs (14stone 1lb) and i'm 5ft 7in. *sigh* My goal weight is 147lbs (10stone 7lb). A total of 50lbs to get rid of. *cringe* I know that it will be hard work... but i need the motivation and support of others that aren't my family and friends... hence why im here! hehe

i'm guessing that the realistic way to look at this is if i loose around 2lbs a week (which is average isnt it?) then i should loose the weight in around 6months...argh

2lbs a week is about right. You know there is something about new food that you just fall in love with right? LoL This is how I feel about Indian food! YUMMY!

What's your plan of attack for weightloss? Are you counting calories?

I LOVE indian food... sooo full of calories! hehe

I'm generally trying to eat healthier with smaller portion sizes... I realise that was half my problem whilst i was away... far too big portions! I'm also trying to become a little more active... going to join a gym once i get back on the road.. in the mean time will probably start doing crunches or something before bed.

I guess i should really start counting calories too... im hoping that by just generally being healthier the weight will begin to drop off. haha

but thank you for the welcome. :) How are you finding your weightloss?
 
Welcom back Pinky :) How did you enjoy your summer at camp? In what state was it?

I personally lost about .8 pounds per week, and have lost nothing now in several weeks. Its hard to say how fast you'll lose it, but who really cares as long as its steady and the weight is coming off. I'm down to the last 10 so the weight is being VERY stubborn.
 
blancita: Summer camp was intersting.. It was in North Carolina in a place called Hendersonville... well just outside of it really. I like it... but the food wasn't great! hahah

Newbride: HEY! i remember you. :D How's your weight loss journey going?
 
So much for being extra healthy!!

Things haven't been going great... i keep falling off the bandwagon and i haven't really lost any weight at all... But onwards we must go!
