My name is Amy and I'm 20 years old. I live in Edmonton, Alberta and am hoping this diary will keep me focused and help me to reach my goal. I weigh 193 lbs right now and am looking to weigh 135lbs. I just joined the gym, have started drinking water and have started eating smaller portions of healthier food. I'd love to have this weight gone in 6 months, that realistic right?> I've tried a milltion times but feel like I'm actually going to do it this time.. I know I'll be so proud of myself and feel so good when I reach my goal, and I can't wait!! I live with my fiance Kris and he has a very healthy lifestyle which will definitely help me stick to my diet. I took my 'before' pictures today but I won't be posting them until I have some 'after' ones. So this is my intro, and its late so maybe I'll wrtie more tomrrow! Oh, and also, I am getting great inspriation from all of you and your storeis!

Welcome to your diary! I wish you luck with your weight loss.

From 193lbs to 135lbs is 58lbs to lose. At two pounds a week you'd lose 60 lbs in 30 weeks. Thats roughly 7-8 months. I suggest you break that 58lbs into smaller goals because it'll feel like you're getting to your goals quicker.

Maybe break it up into 6 goals. Try to lose 10lbs and when you've done that, congratulate yourself, spoil yourself (an new outfit, some You-time, etc) and then continue to another 10lbs.

You can do it!

Heres an update! I have 12 pounds gone all toghether so far! Got lots more to go, but its going good. I'm 184 pounds right now, my next goal will be 180lbs, and then I'llcontnue from there hopefully making itdown to 135lbs. I started wedding planning recently so I definitely am going to lose this weight, i wont be a chubby bride. Still going to thy gym and cutting dwn on portions and watching the diet! Thats all! I'll update when I have some more weight lost.

CONGRATS on the weight loss!! I think that you can lose all your weight and get down to 135 in 6 months! as long as you stick with it! I do think that its more easier if you do set 10lbs goals like the other person said though! your doing a great job keep it up!
