Amateur female Bodybuilder here :)

Hey everyone!

I'm a 20 year old amateur female bodybuilder (I've competed 8 times, won 6).

I have my personal training certification (through Canadian Fitness professions and the Canadian Society for exercise physiology). I'm also a certified SPINNING instructor.

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology from University, and my own personal website at: Triple Threat Training

I also write freelance for bbing.com Bodybuilding.com Writer: Jaime Filer - Amateur Bodybuilder & Scivation Athlete!

Look forward to interacting with everyone here :D

Greetings, eh. :D

May I ask why you went with Canadian certs? I ordered the NASM package the other day, just for kicks. Figure I'll write the test to see if I pass. But now I'm like, hmmm, wait, what if it's useless here. Not that I was really intending on doing anything with it, but still.

Thanks for the welcome everyone!!

I'm Canadian too, hence the question.

It'll be a year before I get those three, so you're welcome to beat me, lol.

Do you have CSEP?

Why don't you just get your CSCS through the NSCA? You'll need nothing else.

Because as prestigious as it is, it's not really mainstream in Canada. So I'm going to wait until I move to the states to get my American-centered certs.

Where's your fighting spirit? *sniffle* :p

I'm actually in the process of applying. Pretty sure I'll get it, as I consulted with someone and took some supplemental stuff (I'm a bio/math major) correspondence to cover my bases.

But just to be clear, I'm not at all career. It's strictly a hobby. Like the 5 or 6 other things I usually have going, haha.

Do you? :) I'm actually kinda wondering why you're collecting them like stamps. Just for general knowledge, or is there some particular benefit? Other than who recognizes what I mean.

I do have my CSEP...I got it through my univeristy (I was in a specialized stream).

It's for general knowledge, and it looks HELLA GOOD on a business card :)

And of course, who recognizes what, lol.

If you want to have a career in training collegiate or professional athletes, you'll have CSCS behind your name.

blasted CSCS!!! Just kidding. Definitely a great credential. Both the NSCA and ACSM are excellent organizations, and their journals are addicting. From all the hype from the CSCS exam, I was almost expecting it to be a little harder, and more practical or hands-on, but it still gets people's attentions.

I finally completed my CEUs for recertification.

Good luck, and welcome aboard.

Welcome

You look great!! - I've wondered this for awhile..I was just looking at your sample week - how much weight do you use..ie: leg press, cables etc...

Pics

that is not an easy thing to see. It take a VERY HARD core, great vascular conditioning, super low body fat, and typically the heart is pumping. Unless you get lucky and it just shows because for soem reason it surfaced...

Like in this chicks case! hahjahaha

I met a builder, named Nita, one time- you have seen her, the handstand honey, and I could see the blood pulsating thru that thing! NIIIIIIIICE!!!
