am i counter burning fat by eating to little?

im just wondering ...
it feels that i may be eating too little calories ..
and that my metabolism is really low or something ... even tho i do eat about 5 meals a day usually

i feel that i have not lost much bodyfat for the time ive put it ...
im 18 yrs old 6ft .... going for about a month ... run 8km runs quite frequently ... weightlift off and on (dont have enuf weights right now)
it feels like ive only lost a pound or 2 ..... i havnt actually weighed myself ... but i feel my results should be more.
should i just eat more ...
i also eat well ...... alota protein .... low sat. fats .. moderate mono/ poly .... i take in moderate amounts of carbs .. possibly too much carbs ... i can try cuttn those a bit.
but hopefuly someone can help me out ... maybe someone also experienced it.

yes, if you keep your calories too low for too long a peroid of time and you can stall fat burning.

what does your diet look like?
 
my diet is most focused on protein ... some fats (low, especially sat.) and moderate carbs ... some days i consume a bigger amount of carbs than others ... but thats prety much it.
i no longer eat junk ... try to reduce sugar as much as possible (barely ne thing with sugar) exept maybe some fruits.

i eat things like chicken, eggs, other lean meats (turkey ect), protein shakes, tuna, fruits (apples,oranges,sometimes bananas),
sanwiches... stuff like that.

for example one day could be this

11am - protein shake
1115am - shreddies
230 pm - chicken breast
530pm - tuna
730pm - snack (crackers)
10pm - protein shake

sometimes i get messed up with meals tho .... like yesterday for example

woke up .. had
shreddies went for a run came back had 2 chicken burgers (just the burgers them selves)
then waited till later that day till about 8pm or so ... had like 12 crackers ... then had some chicken strips and fries at like 3 in the morning aha .. (i had a few beers) .. but i dono
i need a bigger variety of foods i think ... its like whenever i want something ... theres nothing .. wat other foods are good .. like low fat high protein ... moderate to low carbs ?

u know wat i find really hard ... just having the food that i want to eat in my house.
like chicken,tuna or foods like that .. with good protein in them.

i still do get pretty good protein in my diet tho ... protein shakes,chicken,tuna,another protein shake.... the cereal yea .. it doesnt really got protein .. but i do have a protein shake with it.

but like i said ... it makes me mad .. because whenever im hungry and when its time to eat .... i cant find ne thing ... only things that are only filled with carbs and mostly only carbs (im not anti-carb... i just want something thats mainly based on protein... and moderate carbs.
like ill go into kitchen ... only things to eat ... campells soups (filld carbs/not high protein) or lipton sidekicks or crackers cereal ect.

i guess i gota do some shopping and load of on specific items.
can ne body give me some other foods that are good for eating ...
because my main ones are things liek chicken,eggs,tuna (ne fish) .. i need more variety in the food.

your first meal should not be just a shake, your breakfast should be real food and big to speed up your metabolism for the rest of the day
 
When you started running were you very big, because if you werent then the reason you dont think your loosing weight may be down to this. As if you were big its alot easier to burn fat because of your size but if you wernt then itll take alot longer than a month to be the size and fitness you want as the last bit of loosing weight is the hardest. Ive been running for three months about the same amount as you ( i wernt that big) and i have lost a bit of weight but not as much as i would expect but you just gotta keep at it cus eventually you will.
I also think that you should really eat what you want (within reason) a balanced diet would be good, because no matter what, with the running your doing you'll defiantly loosing weight and toning.
