Alternative for Push-Ups?

Ok, so poor college student, wanting to continue to build my chest up (along with other areas of course).. i work out only when I have time in the small confines of my dorm room, thus I do stuff like push-ups, sit-ups, jumping jacks, and a few different things with some dumbells. but i have this weird thing where I hate doing the push-ups the most.. not because of the reason you might think though, it's because my toes really hurt sometimes (sounds wimpy I know) when I do them cuz theyre bent.. often to the point of where I'll stop the round of pushups not cuz my chest/shoulders can't handle anymore, but because my toes are killing me. so, does anyone have a good alternative or two to pushups that I can do in the confines of my room (that wont also kill my toes)? thanks in advance.
 
you could put your feet on top of something, not standing on the toes, but just the foot resting on your bed or something like that, and then do pushups.. that should save your toes;)
 
try doing push-ups on your knees with toes high not touching the floor
a little more unstable than standard push ups
