Just a little about me!
I have been on a diet since the age of eight. I cannot remember a time in my life when I wasn't concerned about my size. I had pretty much given up on myself until my senior year of college when I went on a low-carb diet and lost 40 lbs with not one minute spent in a gym. I felt and looked wonderful. Then I went on to grad school. Being away from my friends, boyfriend (now husband) and support system in combination with the stresses of an advanced degree led me to gain most of it back.
Before my wedding I tried in vain to lose it again with watching calories and exercise but at 1200 calories a day and working out every day the scale still didn't budge. I felt cursed. I cannot look at another fat picture of myself, especially when I know that at one time I was okay. I reached my lifetime high 190 last winter. I felt sick to my stomach. That brings us up to today. Since then I have gone back to watching my carbs and eating more protein and veggies (no sugar!). I have lost almost 30 lbs- I am down to 161. My goal is to weight 135. I hope to accomplish this by the end of June.
My immediate goal is to lose 5 lbs by Easter!
