Got a kick out of that one, a couple of months ago I tried and could not do a single sit up. So I started trying and doing what I could every few days. Yesterday I did 30, the first 10 were pretty good, the last 20 I had to cheat a bit but managed to do them. I have been working on my abs for that pudgy stomach thing, but its not having the desired effect. I can feel a pretty hard stomach now, unfortunately its under a bit of a fat roll! Guess I can keep trying.
Ha! It may be the most elusive goal of all. At your age it should be easier than mine, I know you'll be in those jeans in no time.Losing the ‘pudge’ is my goal too
Thanks Jack, I will have to give them a try. I am kind of tied to situps from my long lost youth. When I was in high school I could do 300 situps and only stopped when I got bored. Don't think those days are coming back, but doing a few does make me feel better!I personally prefer "elbow-to-opposite-knee crunches"
Thanks Cate, I am feeling pretty good about it! Not forgetting that I could not have gotten here without the help and support of so many on the forum, and you are close to the top of the list.7.5km hike, situps, size 36 pants..
Yeah, I suppose it is, but it will feel better when I can do 30 proper situps.Sounds like a great non-scale victory to me
It was a good day, I ate well, exercised and feel pretty good tonight. Did an 8 km walk tonight. Another wildflower picture, a Rimrock Milkvetch, I think, got to be some kind of Milkvetch.

oh is that why all the hula hoops were coming out a while back! That IS what they say. Although Tru posted something recently about a possibly exception for a specific hula-hoop routine![]()
Yup. Mine´s still out and has to work somewhat regularly but it hasn´t got a chance as long as I eat as much as I dooh is that why all the hula hoops were coming out a while back!
Oh! I can get out and buy one now - look out world!why all the hula hoops were coming out a while back!
They vary, but I usually walk for 1 or 2 hours depending on length and the kind of trail. Today was a shorter one, according to my app it took me about 54 minutes to walk 4.2 km at a pace of about 13 min/km. Not a real fast pace, but my fastest so far.How long do your walks take you?
I will try to keep posting them. We only get wildflowers in a brief window between snow melt and the dry summer.oh is that why all the hula hoops were coming out a while back!
Great job on the continued walking Rob and thanks for posting the wildflower pictures--nice to see what's blooming!
I will have to see if I can find a hulahoop. I never was very good with one, think I might look kinda silly trying...Yup. Mine´s still out and has to work somewhat regularly
Ha! One thing I am pretty sure I'll never have is a six pack belly! Not unless the one you get from drinking six packs of beer gives you. I can already feel harder stomach muscles, I would just be happy to have a little less fat padding them! To be honest I have loose skin on my belly that would probably make a six pack look impossible, I will be real happy with flat.Rob keep at the sit ups you will have that six pack in no time
Not a bad idea, but I probably will never get close to 300 again. And I don't feel the need to, if I can do 30 good ones I will be happy. If you start with 10 sit-ups and add 1 more each day, you’ll be up to 300 in a year’s time!
Thank you Amy, and compared to where I was a year ago I really do feel a lot better, but with less "roundness"!I am so impressed with your all-roundness - weight loss and fitness and loving life!
Very close to standard walking speed, which primary school memory says is 5km/h, or 12 min/km.Today was a shorter one, according to my app it took me about 54 minutes to walk 4.2 km at a pace of about 13 min/km. Not a real fast pace, but my fastest so far.
If you do decide to get one a larger diameter and/or higher weight make it easier to work with. But higher weight can also mean you need to wear three shirts at first to get your skin used to the pressure.I will have to see if I can find a hulahoop. I never was very good with one, think I might look kinda silly trying...
I did think of that when I posted!...with less "roundness"!
Thanks Liza, it was. No flowers today, but I will try tomorrow.Lovely flowers again and sounds like another good day!
Thanks LaMa, getting up to "standard" is an accomplishment for me! Tomorrow's walk will be a lot slower, steep and without trails.Very close to standard walking speed, which primary school memory says is 5km/h, or 12 min/km.
Ha! It is nice not to be quite so round. My shape still isn't quite what I'd like it to be, but then who's ever is.I did think of that when I posted!
