Thanks Llama, it wasn't too hard. Today was a relatively binge urge free day. Biggest problem was that at the end of the day my calories were too low, so I had a peanut butter sandwich. Great way to get the calories up.Great job getting right back on track!
If that's your biggest problem it is a good dayBiggest problem was that at the end of the day my calories were too low, so I had a peanut butter sandwich.
A peanut butter sandwich, I'm allergic but that sound good! I'm trying to make my son gain weight. I have to introduce him to peanut butter...A good day, ate well, exercised and feel good tonight. I did 3 hours in the gym, earned 97 fitbit brownie points! MFP says I ate 1,512 calories and burned 2,227.

Be careful with that if you're allergic. I remember visiting a friend whose toddlers loved peanut butter rice cakes for snacks and I got the worst eczema just from the traces their sticky little fingers left around the house.A peanut butter sandwich, I'm allergic but that sound good! I am sure you are right, but tonight I was tempted to do without it, but I am trying to keep my calories above 1,200, without peanut butter I would not have done that...If that's your biggest problem it is a good day
Guess I must be special then! I think it is related to the number of minutes fitbit counts my pulse above some fat burning level, I am just not sure what. I will probably do some research to figure it out. Fitbit sets my goal as 22 brownie points a day. It is also set for 10,000 steps, but I always seem to come up a little short, 8,200 today. Will be working on figuring it out and seeing if I can, or should, adjust goals for it.I don't get brownie points with my Fitbit. I have no idea how it does that. What do you aim for with yours, Rob? Is it set for 10,000 steps?
Hey CB, I know a lot of people have the peanut allergy, but I don't. It probably is a good way to gain weight, adds calories quite quickly and easily. And if you are not allergic I think it is relatively good for you. Most kids like it.A peanut butter sandwich, I'm allergic but that sound good! I'm trying to make my son gain weight. I guess I am lucky, to the best of my knowledge I am allergic to nothing. Unless you count all food, that is my problem...Be careful with that if you're allergic.
10,000 steps a day is a nice round number but afaik there's no science to it. It came about decades ago in ads for an early step counter and people have repeated it so often it's become one of those "everybody knows" things. According to a video I watched on it from a source that usually does the proper scientific legwork the benefits really don't get that much bigger after 8,000 steps a day.It is also set for 10,000 steps, but I always seem to come up a little short, 8,200 today.
Now that you mention it: too much food leaves me super bloated and short of breath, too...I guess I am lucky, to the best of my knowledge I am allergic to nothing. Unless you count all food, that is my problem...
Why would steps be important? Other than as some measure of the amount of exercise you get.10,000 steps a day is a nice round number but afaik there's no science to it. If you mean fat and short of breath I understand!too much food leaves me super bloated and short of breath, too...
I think it's just a measure for activity. Most people don't move much unless they're on their feet.would steps be important? Other than as some measure of the amount of exercise you get.
Yeah, I like yogurt and its relatively filling. Don't think we have to worry about eating too much of it.You’re going through a lot of yogurt but not as much me but the difference is I have it all in one sitting
I think you are right, and workouts can often involve lots of good exercise with minimal steps.I think it's just a measure for activity. Most people don't move much unless they're on their feet.
True, of course, although most step counters will interpret arm swinging as steps as wellI think you are right, and workouts can often involve lots of good exercise with minimal steps.
I have not figured out how the fitbit one works, I do get steps when cycling but not so many as my legs move. Probably some kind of body motion.True, of course, although most step counters will interpret arm swinging as steps as well
Thanks Cate, always appreciate your voice of reason. The brownie points are interesting, but I am going to try not to let them effect my routines much. You eat healthily & move a lot & enjoy it. You have to be doing well, Rob, regardless of some random Fitbit reading or issuing of "brownie points".
LOL! Shows how your mind must work Llama, I had not really made the connection, until your post... Naive I guess.Could've called it fiveco...roosters.
