Hello everyone!
I'm a newbie to this site, but have been losing weight since April of this year. Lately I have been told that I am starting to inspire people to lose their extra pound-age, so I guess writing a 'blog' couldn't hurt anyone!
I'm 5'5", 20 years old, and my heighest weight was.... 237!
BMI: 39.4....seriously obese
EKKK.
How did it happen? No idea. But, I can tell you that I felt terrible, every day. My weight was consuming my life, and I realized I'd have to change it or accept the fact that I would just get fatter for the rest of my life.
Of course, being 20, I couldn't just give up my youth so easily. I had already wasted my teen years on being insecure and having low self esteem because of my weight and refused to let it keep going. So, to start things off I went on a 14 day cleanse. During this period, I lost 33 lbs.
At 205 lbs, I decided it was time to get off the cleanse and begin the actual 'diet'. Through strict calorie counting and exercising (very light - walking - but for long amounts of time) I lost another 18 lbs.
Currently, I am 187 lbs. In the span of 3 months, I have lost 50 pounds and don't plan on quitting any time soon.
It's been exciting, and frustrating at the same time. Plateau's are evil...but if you persist you can eventually break them.
Two days ago, I decided to go back on the cleanse again. I felt fantastic while I was doing it, so we'll see how that goes. I'll post some before/mid pictures once I figure this whole thing out.
